    I love that the photo is grainy, as if there’s so much radiation in the air that he can’t get a clear picture of it.

      It’s a funny detail :D

      butttttt americium-241 from smoke detectors are primarily alpha emitters, so the air, the sludge itself, and the camera lens would shield the camera’s sensors from being noticeably exposed :3

        it’s mainly to avoid polluting the groundwater, environmental laws are strict and people tend to stick to the rules (and will call the police on you if you don’t)
