Imagine if orcas start a fad so popular, humans start getting in on it, too, and it becomes the first ever cross-species fad.

Especially with rising ocean acidification, new hats just floating around naturally without the orcas having to put in any work.

I’m thinking more of a lure, have some nice rotten salmon smell leaking out of your “hat” and hope that some tasty fish, sharks or seals show up looking for a meal.

IIRC Orcas are one of the species that does shit that appears to have no biological advantage. Other species of dolphins do too.

Dolphins as a whole have some really creative behaviors, especially in social circles. And it appears that they do these things “for the hell of it.”

they were already giving dolphins LSD, masturbating them and trying to make them speak English, i think we should just let them have their pufferfish

See, i feel like dolphins typically enjoy drugs. Make the offer at least.

I don’t trust the masturbation was ethical, but they’re horny and aware enough it could be in the future.

English was fucked up. But we should translate their language(s). Maybe teach them spanish or something less insane than fucking english.
