My dog is actually pretty racist, she doesn’t like white people lol
My husky goes apeshit when she sees black or brown labs. Can’t let her in the park if anyone else there at the time has a black or brown lab because she will attack it. She doesn’t with yellow labs or any other breed.

Dogs actually can be racist, they’re just not in a position to do bad things with their prejudices.
Police dogs are, very much so. Like, not consciously. They don’t understand what they’re doing and it’s their owners that are ultimately responsible for using them essentially as prejudice amplifiers and probable cause generators, but the racism they get taught absolutely does harm.

Have seen that. Dog gets usually petted by white children and usually teased by Asian children - learns to become peaceful for the one and cower in a corner, followed by lunge and bite, to the other.
Not saying all Asian children are mean to dogs, but in this case it was enough for the dog to believe a pattern and respond.

My friend has a dog who once had a black man accidentally step on his paw. Not sure if he hated black people before but to this day he still hates all black people he encounters.

From what I’ve heard, dogs have problems seeing the relatively low contrasts in darker faces and that freaks them out.

Dogs can be racist especially if thier owner is one. But I seen dogs do it naturally too.

It is so funny to me that people talk about how racist dogs are for human races. I feel that there should be a separate word for that, perhaps cross species racism? Idk
My dog is also a racist because he has been bitten by a pitbull once. If any pitbull comes into view he goes berserk.
