Holding grudges is bad for us. It causes anxiety, depression and can even lead to feelings of hatred and revenge and other difficult outcomes. So yes, let it go. And if you can’t let it go, talk to the person who hurt you about it in a mature way. Often it’s just a misunderstanding. This will keep you healthy in more ways than one and contribute to happy relationships with those around you.
Easier said than done, but dealing with hurt feelings and letting go of resentment is always the healthy way to go.
I know you’re absolutely right but holding a grudge helped me with my depression and anxiety, cause then I didn’t feel the need to be the best around a person and that everything could be my mistake. No, there is a stupid person that I dislike and most likely it’s their fault!
What if I do not so much hold grudges as have inordinate amounts of trauma related to certain individuals who I both wish to have nothing to do with and be far away from, but also frequently have nightmares about and are the reason I have PTSD?
