I’m just going to speak my mind as a Closeted transwoman who would look like a guy

I didn’t honestly want to get involved with this thread at all in fear of creating an absolute mess

But being trans myself I see myself having empathy for both woman’s and men’s rights because I know and understand the issues men are facing and see the issues woman are facing

I don’t like seeing the devide on either side and absolutely hate seeing the division and fighting especially when people advocate for men’s rights or woman’s rights

I personally advocate for both because I see everyone having rights as part of equality and equity and if you don’t want any one group to have rights then that isn’t equality or equity

We should be free to talk about both men’s rights and woman’s rights without being attacked for it

  • For Manga and Anime in particular:

    • Removal of honorifics which convey a person’s status which can ba explained in a translators notes page or a quick look at Wikipedia

    • Giving people with different dialects from standard Tokyo dialect different English accents like southern americanese or Scottish. They’re Japanese, not Scottish or american

    • Using american English

    • Using american slang which no one outside of america understands

    • Even though I don’t watch dubs anymore and prefer subs every dub I’ve seen poorly attempts to imitate the way Japanese people speak

  • Gish galloping is talking over the person you’re arguing with to tire them out and / or interrupt them

Commenting with long text walls asking someone to refute this or that or respond to a series of questions is usually the online equivalent of that

You ever see those comment chains with vеgаns constantly responding to someone until the person they’re responding to gives up, that can be considered Gish-galloping

Obviously with online comments you can’t talk while another person is talking
