And then I found out everyone I worked with on a daily basis was making minimum double, sometimes triple what I was making, though they couldn’t find an extra $5k a year so I could stop driving Uber on the side. So then we had a heart-to-heart. Boss thought the “this is insubordination, I’m your boss!” card would work, because she clearly can’t read a room.
