My ear got infected a few days ago, and then even though I got medication for it, it still ruptured my eardrum. The pain is immense, I’ve gotten no sleep, and now my ear is filled with bloody puss and I cannot hear out of it. Its starting to get better, but damn does this suck.
So anyway how was everyone else’s day?
Well I was going to complain that my company migrated environments and now my Teams keeps marking old chats as new but… I think I can be grateful its just that.
I hope you the migration goes better, is the new environment way different than the old one?

Thank you so much! The pain has reduced but I still can’t hear yet out the ear properly, but I think the worst of it is over.
My wife and I just found out our latest round of IVF didn’t work, so not great…not to diminish a ruptured ear drum, that shit’s a motherfucker.
D: I’m so terribly sorry to hear that. I assume this has been happening for a long time being that it’s IVF, I truly hope that if you both try again you find success!
Going on 7 years now, it’s been really really tough.
Oof, that’s my fear. Mine have been popping non-stop for 20 years because my eustachian tubes don’t drain right.
Sometimes I have to pinch my nose and blow air into them to get them to drain a little, and I’m always worried about bursting my eardrums.
I’ve never heard of that, doesn’t sound very fun. I do that occasionally but never even thought it could damage my ears… maybenonce I’m better I should get a proper checkup on my ears.
Apparently there’s a name for it, eustachian tube dysfunction, which I just stumbled upon when confirming how to spell eustachian

Im so sorry to hear that. I have chronic ear infections so I know your pain. Get pain relief from your doctor imo, ear pain is insanely painful.
Its so circular too, you get infection, infection hurts, pain gives you migraine, migraine makes the pain worse… its awful. Im sorry you have to deal with that so often!
I woke up from a deep sleep and my sinuses weren’t quite so hideous. I then ate a bit, slept more, woke up from that coughing my throat out, cried, and here I am. With still a fever.
i got fired today because my boss is an an incapable coward.

I’ve got a bit of a cold, I had a cold maybe two weeks ago but fortunately this second one isn’t so bad, so far anyways. I’m just a bit stuffed up with a cough.
