I’d say absolutely. Even middle of nowhere Vermont has a cat cafe and 2 anime stores in the state. A state mind you is empty forest and peppered with old guys and out doorsmen. Even these icolated old farts consume anime.
TIL that going from “Never heard of it” to “I occasionally encounter this in everyday life” is considered taking over the world.
It does seem like it’s gotten a lot more popular with western audiences in the past like 2-3 years
