IPv6 has a policy of throwing more address space at stuff to make routing simpler, though.
IPv4 will individually route tiny slices of address space all over the world, IPv6 just assigns a massive chunk of space in the first place and calls it a day.
Or an email client where you double click the link text to select it and press copy, and somehow this puts the link plus a trailing space in the clipboard to be pasted into a browser.
They also wouldn’t allow the new devs to talk to the old devs, so they had to figure out the old codebase for themselves.
You’re not supposed to use fc00::/8, so it’s just the fd00::/8 half that’s the new ULA.
That’s what temporary privacy addresses are for. Clients can just keep generating new addresses in your /64, which is it’s own subnet.

I’d argue it was more tedious than challenging, running rows and rows of parallel underground pipes.
You’d think so, but the logs often contain a ton of noise along with the one line that tells me what the actual issue is.
I know whenever I try to help someone with a Linux issue it’s always an uphill battle to get them to stop guessing what they think the problem might be and show me the logs.
People really don’t want to give you the information you need to help them.

GNU Parallel works well for this kind of thing. A lot of audio stuff is single threaded, so unlike video transcoding running multiple conversions simultaneously is a useful thing to do. The command is simpler, too:
parallel ffmpeg -i {} {.}.opus ::: *.m4a

IPv6 has privacy addresses, though. Stuff on my network generates a new random address every day and uses that address for outgoing connections, so you can’t really track individual devices inside my network.
