I think what they mean is still a mathematical meaning, just a separate definition of ‘divisible’ not limited to integers. The term is usually used for the set of integers, but really you could define it on any set.

“For x,y in S, x is called divisible by y if and only if x/y lies in S.” could be such a definition. Obviously you also need a definition of “/”, which is usually x/y=a <=> a*y=x with any operation *. This usually involves an algebraic Ring.

Damn how old is the average Lemmy user? The amount of people (allegedly) using and expecting perfect punctuation when texting scares me. I never put periods after one-liners except for nuance and if someone else does it looks weird. Depends on the person obviously, for example when my mom texts me I know I shouldnt put much thought into such details.

I had a very similar situation to yours. Missed the bus by a few seconds. Car behind it stopped and the guy drove me to the next stop. It was like 200m but made my day. Most people wouldnt bother. I hope one day I can make some stranger happy like that in an unexpected way but I dont think my social awkwardness will let me.
