Principles that Im referring to are e.g. abstraction and ‘divide and conquer’. IT exists to make things simple that would otherwise be hard (to put it simply). Why would you deliberately abstain from using an abstraction that makes API testing easier and faster?

Not saying Postman is good btw, but there are alternatives and command line is not one I would recommend to a sane person (maybe to someone that needs a way to feel superior and brag about being a hardcore programmer).

The entire rant gives huge ‘Why would you use a programming language, just write binary’ vibes. I hate these kinds of talks because they go against the most basic principles of IT.

It is definitely a bad idea because such a trip, especially in an unpredictable setting like this, can turn upside down real quick and the last thing a woman giving birth needs is some guys freaking out and needing the personnels attention. If you really respect the act of giving birth you should minimize the risks of it going wrong (you could argue that theyre getting paid and its their choice to take the risk, but thats kind of like saying sex workers could do an other job if they dont enjoy it). The same goes for people who want to visit in the first few days after birth, just because theyre “so excited for the baby they cant wait to see it”. Think of the woman who went through hell a few hours ago and probably feels like a truck hit her in the face right now. Leave her the f alone. If they invite you, cool.

Case 1: Woman uses the bathroom -> the seat is down -> everyone can use it as is. Case 2: Man pisses while standing -> the seat is up -> woman needs to lower it 100%, man only when sitting down next time.

Also thats not even the issue. A toilet seat if fucking filthy. Forcing someone else to touch it just because you are too lazy to lower it yourself after using it for yourself is as selfish as it gets.
