8·23 days agoYou are a saint taking in a dog at that age. You gave him a wonderful last couple of years. Sorry for your loss.
While the accounts are most like exaggerated, so are most things from that time. We still learned about Paul Revere and not the 40 other riders out that night. Or the fact the Revere was captured, while the others with him escaped. And Samuel Prescott was the one who actually finished the ride.
Like in American history you hear about Paul Revere riding a damn horse over and over, yet you never learn about Nancy Morgan Hart. I learned who she was from a Bad Cop/Bad Cop song.

Ha, it looks like you’re much better at taking your cutie to the groomer than me.

I’ve repositioned my side mirror to shine back at them. Usually gets them to back up a little bit.
Four Dead Cheerleaders by Dropkick not Dropkick Murphy’s like every file sharing app said.
You might want to rethink the nightshirt because it has an Ebeneezer Scrooge vibe to it.
In the episode he did on it he had to borrow it from Pat the NES Punk. Of course that was 14 years ago, so I assume he could have gotten his hands on them since.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the Holy Grail item in your hobby?
12·8 months agoOut of curiosity, what would you plug those into to get the best use of them? I couldn’t imagine the headphone jack on my motherboard would be able to take full advantage of them.
I don’t care what M$ says, Azure DevOps is being left for dead. As someone who worked on the System Center space for years, I know the signs of a product they want to kill but can’t. I’m convinced the only reason it is still around is because some internal teams haven’t moved to GitHub yet.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your favorite thing that anyone has done out of pure spite?
4·8 months agoBack around this time I was in the military and each base had Public Folders in Outlook where people could post stuff for sale. I left my computer unlocked one day and one of my colleagues posted my car for free on there. This was also back when you would have like 25 MB mailbox limits. Needless to say my inbox got filled up in minutes.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who is an actor you can't stand, but everyone likes?
7·9 months agoKristen Schaal - I absolutely hated her in 30 Rock and that just stuck with me. But I’m starting to come around since What We Do in the Shadows. I also never had a problem with her voice acting.
The man smoked 3-4 packs of cigarettes a day, so that’s all you could smell. Thankfully we didn’t have to sleep there. My parents would have us stay at the motel/grocery/gas station/bar/restaurant/video store/boat rental/fish license place in town.
Reminds me of my hermit uncle who used to clean the beer cans off of his floor with a rake before we would come visit.

You’ve got to expand on that
