Thank you.

Well, I am cis, but I’ve been to a community or two that seem to be under impression that one dream = mtf (but not ftm for some reason), so I guess that must mean…

New yorkers in the 1900s != sensible
Here’s the info so you don’t have to. Land is on giant rocks. Sometimes, the giant rocks hit each other and shake. The end.
mpv also uses yt-dlp whenever installed, although it is referred to in the docs as youtube-dl for historical reasons. You can specify stuff with --ytdl-format (yt-dlp -f equivalent) and --ytdl-raw-options (=thing=thing, anotherthing=anotherthing). Pop in a --ytdl-format=251 with a YouTube playlist and you get a nice little music player.

I didn’t mean “in relation to the Chinese government” when I mentioned “Chinese surveillance”, I meant “surveillance of Chinese origin”. If you check ad and tracking blocklists, by far most popular ones are either in the US or China. For me that’s equally as bad as government sponsored. Although “government sponsored” usually implies “of big(ger) scale”, it’s not necessary.
There are more than just 5 eyes.
I am going to refrain from arguing, for I have taken note of your instance being “lemmy.ml”. As much as I hate discriminating by instance, I have to do what I have to do.

Define “work”

Yet Chinese surveillance is surveilling everyone else.
“snap”? You mean, Snapcraft, the most evil of software?
Sheet thin bendable plastic like that is difficult to break without tools. Especially while you are in progress of drinking from it. I was referring to glass shards going into people if it wasn’t clear. There’s already plastics in people (for various reasons, not just straws), not much to loose there.
Why would you assume I am German? Also, the person you were thinking of is from Austria.
Glass is glass and glass breaks. Win win for overpopulation, though.
Again, you seem to be missing the point. Nobody would be “removing permissions with xyz tool”. People are told something is safe, therefore it must be safe. If it’s not then it’s not. And again with PGP, one example how a “simple user” could have PGP keys is if they use PGP email at work. Management != tech people, so container must equal safe in ooga booga brains. Keys get stolen because of supply chain (remember that library updates are separate and slower for flatpak). Container must equal safe, so everyone disregards what was written about XYZ program and the one to blame becomes the simple office worker*, another victim of capitalism*. Or the IT guy. My point is, marketing wrong.
Pardon my stupid, literally who would that be? “trans right hitler”? Or are you talking about .ml as “alt-left” (and fascist somehow)?
