I presume this is not OC but the cat is probably hearing a noise and reacting to that. Still makes for a funny vid tho

I agree with all of your post but you can search the entire server at once. If it autofills the channel you’re either on mobile or used ctrl+F, and you can just remove it as a parameter.
Works the other way around as well, like you can search in a specific channel by adding “in:#channelname” in your search box.
Still hate it though. But I wanted to point out that it’s a teeny bit less stupid.
If done well it’s called constructive feedback, not bad communication.
The problem is that many folks feel like it’s the only feedback tool in the toolbox, and the praises can seem less sincere over time, as some managers think they need to find something positive every single time. This can make it less efficient or sincere, so it’s good to have some variety.
I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but they are basically saying that you wouldn’t be a good fit with the team.
Now as for the exact reasoning they will probably not tell you, as ambiguous rejections are easier to manage. But to me that sounds like they think you need guidance / support that they cannot offer (read: don’t have the budget for).
Not saying I agree with any of it, mind you. Just giving my interpretation
In a way that scares me, but it would explain how we have so many different ways of looking at life.
I did. Those usernames are too distracting and shout “look at me!”, so I’m filtering all of them.
I understand. You’re right that anxiety (or any emotion) isn’t rational, but try to remind yourself that communication is a two way street.
They obviously hold a position of power considering they are your boss, but it would be good to discuss expectations and boundaries to prevent miscommunication in the future!
Why are you fretting because your boss sucks at communication? Establish your expectations and communicate these. They should be able to give you direct goals when necessary.
For example, Nintendo fans in general will give massive backlash to reviews that are not 10/10 for Nintendo games, even if the lower score is legitimate.
This sounds like an anecdote, if anything. Nintendo fans are usually mad at Nintendo for missing the mark with certain games, not with the reviewers.
A Nintendo Switch for games might be perfect for micro breaks. The system goes in and out of sleep mode within a split second and you can pick up the game right where you left it. Even if that means resuming a game you paused two weeks ago. No boot times or loading times present.
