  • “whatever you do don’t forget to check the big tab is on the left and the little tab is on the right, even if you get it backwards it won’t close as a safety precaution.”

Gets call of machine not working in another country, sends out consultant.

Big tab is on the right, little tab is on the left and the entire tray has been forced into position because “it wasn’t closing properly so we had to apply a lot of force”

Professionals with confidence are the absolute worst, I tell ever consultant or technician that comes into my lab “I’ll be in the corner if you need me to grab you any supplies or coffee, do you mind if I ask questions as you go so I can have a better understanding of what’s going on with this magical box”. I like to think they appreciate me.

  • Bwahaha, would love if that was the case. Maybe I was more aggressive as a teen? Maybe I pushed harder into areas where I was under leveled? Except I know that isn’t the case because I’m much more impatient as a gamer the days. I know that food and water were much more important to have on hand because of how frequently you’d need to rest between mobs I remember reaching the next tier of food and being relieved that I didn’t have to wait the entire 20 seconds, sometimes more if I needed 2 rounds of water to fill my mana bar, on the re-release there was barely any down time when grinding the lower levels.

I’m often one to question people’s rose tinted glasses, and I’m not upset for anyone to question my memory, but the"classic" release was made (not saying intentionally) easier than the original release (as a day 1 release player, through cataclysm)

  • I put 5 dollars into the clash of clans card game, realized they could very easily have had me for more, turned off the game, uninstalled, and never looked back (I don’t think I even used the currency I had purchased).

It was a good moment of realization, glad I got out for 5 dollars.

They could’ve made so much more with all the permissions I’d given them XD

  • Nah, there were things like floating sign posts, and enemies in places they shouldn’t have been.

It was absolutely not the game that was released 22 years ago. Also they said they didn’t re-tune the enemies, but everything was easier, so maybe it wasn’t re-tuned, but it was differently tuned

  • Dark legacy comics has been my only source for wow.

I played when they “re released” classic, just before they bent over backwards to please China (that was a big reason I stopped, the other was classic wasn’t classic, there was so much jank in it that had clearly not been qc’d), now I read about the adventures of the dlcomics cast and that’s more than enough for me.

  • Why not engage?

I do believe you should watch some more Lucifer, you would probably change your opinion on the portrayal of heaven and hell in it. Heaven is a walled off garden of aspiration for all of the metaphysical beings in the show, and hell is a place of such suffering that the only ones content to be there have never experienced heaven. I don’t believe it matches the characterizations you’re claiming it does, despite having watched an entire episode.

And being sympathetic towards Lucifer is not the writers attempt to portray hell as good. Lucifer is a character of manipulation and uses temptation to get what he desires. The devil, as much as it is portrayed in the Bible, doesn’t act with deeds of evil, but deeds of manipulation and temptation.

  • You should watch more Lucifer.

You have a very flawed perception on what’s going on in the good place if you think the actors from “the bad place” are working to get people into heaven, or the reason the people of heaven leave so quickly.

But I’ll bite on what I perceive to be a barely good faith question and not a concern troll post.

When you look at the idea pushed (especially in the last few hundred years) of a dichotomy of infinite joy or infinite suffering, there’s a lot of realism that can be pushed in the gray areas. The absolutist of everything is good because everything is good and everything is evil because everything is evil has been portrayed from the good side for a long time, the somewhere in between that modern media takes from brings things towards the middle on both sides, but concern trolls can’t rationalize heaven to be anything but perfect, so they go on tirades about media they don’t care to look at critically, whenever they feel their absolutist belief of heaven good is analyzed with a modicum of scrutiny.

  • GeForce now. As long as you have streaming speed Internet you can play so many games, at such high quality.

Microsoft game pass, I haven’t tried it with the above because I don’t have great Internet (I’ve got grandfathered into the intro price of GeForce now, I’m not canceling it, I’ll have better Internet some day), but it’s better than browsing games at my blockbuster/warehouse/Hollywood video back in the day.

YouTube premium. I’ve only listen to ads when I’ve first turned on a new phone, every time I do I count my money as well spent. Add in YouTube music (much better than Spotify imo) and I’m good for 95% of my media input.

A hundred bucks a month on various content creators. Not listening to ads in my podcasts, not having to fast forward and rewind, and supporting the people who make my life happier, it’s a win win.

  • Feynman, taught me it’s okay to question people, people grow when they’re questioned, and it isn’t wrong to speak up when you don’t know something even if everyone else seems to know that thing, because maybe group think has everyone assuming everybody else knows what’s going on, and that’s when shit can go seriously wrong.
