Well, i checked. From the top 1000 websites in the world, cloudflare is fronting 55% of them.
Same with top 10000 websites, 55%.
Top 100000 websites, 52%.
All measured websites, 29%.
I think this is telling a different story than small sites using free cloudflare services. The 20% that cloudflare says is most similar to “all measured websites” where tons of small ones are included.
What matters is really how many of the most popular web sites are behind it. The large massive ones with lots of traffic are likely to use it.
A great idea for the entire world to use github for all their code and cloudflare for all their web sites. Some great thinking right there.
What is funny is that its not even better now compared to then. It used to be super fast and found everything on the web in an instant.
Abd today, well, you know how Google search is…

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What have you completely stopped buying because the price has gotten ridiculus?
21·6 days agoPC upgrades of course, but also I refuse to pay for a coffee out these days. Sometimes I do it if I’m with someone but never alone. It’s very expensive.
Also burgers out, I never buy them, but also because they are not very good and the price is ridiculous. Last time I checked, Burger King double whopper menu was 14 dollars in my country. Probably more expensive now.

12·6 days agoI get it, I also think capitalism is a very low consciousness system where you destroy everything in the end. I often feel this place is ridiculous because of that. Some kind of school for the most retarded. However, I got put here so… Maybe I’m not so smart.
If you look around in your own life, I bet you will see that the majority of people you actually know seems good.
Just down turn on the TV. It’s called propaganda for a reason.
And about being good, you don’t do it to gain any benefits. People seem to think that… Why be good, I don’t get benefits from it.
Then you are not good yourself, because a good person doesn’t have a choice. He is good because his consciousness is good. Not because of any benefits. Some good people are good because they are afraid too. They are good because they fear conflict.
And bad people are not good because they get benefits and want those benefits. It’s simple.

11·7 days agoYes people make creative things, but they don’t make games that requires a game studio and give them away for free. I feel that you should understand this. Perhaps you don’t.
I pirated as a kid too because I didn’t have money and I loved games. But I knew that others paid for their games and that’s why they could make them.
Now as an adult, I’m paying for my games. Because I have the money and it’s worth it. If you don’t, that’s fine too. I dont judge. But just quit the stupid copyright argument. :)
Done that. :)

63·7 days agoSure but game companies need to get paid or they won’t make games. Right? Luckily there are many others who pay for games so you can pirate, but without them paying, there wouldn’t be a product you can pirate.
I just picked a game company as an example but of course you understand this.
If camera is not on, it’s the other way around yes. :)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•[AskLemmy Meta]: Should bot posts be banned in AskLemmy.world?
52·8 days agoYou may as well, you have banned everything else on Lemmy.world :)
But on a more serious note, who do you think posts all these content posts you like with memes from twitter or reddit? Most of Lemmy popular content is bots grabbing it from other sources and reposting it.
Edit: Ah you said askLemmy community only. Then yes, if you can.
How to continue to do evil when you are done running a software monopoly…
For a software programmer like Gates, the intellectual property may be the key. Patenting seeds, proteins, and fertilizers effectively grants the patent holder a 20-year-long monopoly. Patents equal profits, and a monopoly equals exclusive access to money.
This is not just happening in America; it is happening all over the world. Gates and his globalist allies at the WEF are seeking to snuff out the family-owned competition by pressing for regulations and restrictions on the tried-and-true methods of producing food across the globe.
Or just use a washing machine. I empty mine out before cooking and then throw everything in there as I cook. But sometimes not all big pots fit. Still not such a problem.
But the time and effort issue is real. It usually takes about 45 minutes to make a recepie from start to finish. On the other hand, I would have spent that time just sitting otherwise, so it’s good to move.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•People who play videos and podcasts loudly in cafés and restaurants: What's your deal?
3·11 days agoReal answer? Because people around them don’t get angry and tell them to stop doing it.
I do blame them for being insensitive idiots but I also blame others who are afraid to tell them what they think.
Im not any better. I recently endured a train ride of 5 hours in the seats right behind a family with kids who were yelling, screaming, jumping… Everything, as if they were at home. Parents were just as loud, talking and screaming over the loud noise of their kids.
I escaped it by going to sit in the restaurant wagon, it was much quieter than our seats.

I agree. I once kissed a smoker and I wanted to puke.
