I saw it on tv news yesterday and I was just so sad that this is what we have now as a president. Switched channels quickly, no point being depressed. But its just sad.

I think we are at the end stage of capitalism and people should live their lives, trying to get out of the matrix if they can.

  • You dont use your real name on Lemmy so I dont see why your history matters here. I could understand it on linkedin, which is why its a super cringe platform also, but here? I dont see a problem.

I like Lemmy because it can be genuine and real, unless posted on a instance that moderates away opinions the moderators dont agree with.

You can go back and find opinions in my history you wont agree with. But thats because i dont try to look a certain way, and I dont change my opinions to look good to others.

I think everyone should do the same. Be who you are. Reflect on feedback, maybe you are wrong, but if you dont think so, dont change yourself.

  • Emotionally mature women do calm down. It just depends on the level of trust she has in what you say.

If you are known to her as someone she trusts and listens to, then she will consider if you are right and start to calm down if she thinks you are.

But it depends a bit on age and maturity and life experiences and all sorts of things.

I dont really feel the need to talk about traumas with my guy friends. I like to have a good time and laugh instead. :)

Also when im at the gym, I think its great. Every guy is kind of quiet or having a good time with a friend.

The women i listened to were talking about some sad story and seemingly shared some difficult thing (I dont know for sure).

  • Its like having a junior developer with a world of confidence just change shit and spend hours breaking things and trying to fix them, while we pay big tech for the privilege of watching the chaos.

I asked chat gpt to give me a simple squid proxy config today that blocks everything except https. It confidently gave me one but of course it didnt work. It let through http and despite many attempts to get a working config that did that, it just failed.

So yeah in the end i have to learn squid syntax anyway, which i guess is fine, but I spent hours trying to get a working config because we pay for chat gpt to do exactly that…

I think at some point, people have to stop working so hard and say “this is not fair, and we have reached our limit now”.

We havent always been in end game capitalism mode. Its now in the last few decades that its very obvious that workers are not treated the way they should as human beings. If you view people as expendable resources, you dont deserve to have them working for you.

But sure, I can see the other side of this. Workers are paid and should work to the best of their capacity. But there is another dimension here when work turns into misery and the worker cant quit because he wont survive without a paycheck. Once you have created a society like that, you have endless misery for workers and they should stop working to create a forced change in society.

In Europe, people fought very hard for their five week vacations. Because of that fight, workers still enjoy that even today. It doesnt come without a fight.

People should be more lazy actually. Why the fuck is everyone working so hard? We are at peak capitalism, its already downhill since a decade back…

In peak capitalism, workers are maximum exploited and companies act like kings and get away from almost anything. So workers should work hard in this environment? I dont think so.
