Alarm is set to 7:39am, snooze twice, roll out of bed and stumble to the den. Log in, mark my time, then go take a good morning shit. Then go get coffee
Weird way to write 9:03 am
this is absolutely not true
I don’t have any stairs in my apartment
That’s definitely how it was when I started, but slowly I started getting up more around the time I used to when I still needed to drive to work, and now I get my daily exercises and language lessons done with time to spare to pack my wife a lunch and take a shower before clocking in. It helps that my wife and I like to go to bed at 9, though - if I felt compelled to stay up until midnight, I wouldn’t be so gung-ho to get up at 5, haha!
Your the exact reason they want people back in the office.
Instead of paying to commute in and paying for the gym in the evening you’re exercising for free before work and preventing your wife from buying lunch.
Please take a moment to think about Starbucks, fuel companies and gyms profits and reassess your life.

Getting up at 5 sounds like hell to me. Also, when working remote I’ll get up at the same time as when I go to the office.
I’m starting remote work next week. Couldn’t be happier.
Just lost my remote job now I am miserable.

I’ve been working 99 % remotely the last year. So difficult imaging ever going back to open offices, but it is probably impossible to avoid going back at some point, unless I become the boss.
Open offices are so silly. Even cubicles were pretty decent.
I also miss having my own office 🥺
open offices are about control
I have my own office now; never had that; that is why my door is always open when I am inside. My current job is somewhat compatible with being interrupted by requests. The open door helps others to approach me to get help with their IT problem or else.
Only for rare online meetings I close the door.
Looking back at my old hybrid job I am glad to have this new job; no more daily online meetings no matter where I am, in the office or at home. I enjoy my new workplace and going to the office every day, but I guess it helps living very close by (4 minutes by foot).
I’m being forced to come into the office. I hope I can find a new remote job that won’t drive me crazy.
Literally me rn.
Im awakr, and taking a shower to stay awake. I don’t know when my coworkers will see me if they acrually do, but im not gonna smell at home at least
Switching back to hybrid from full office time soon. Saves me so much time! Can’t wait.
