Nah man. There are some niche embedded projects that get pretty hardware specific that are usually rife with chinese discussions and none in the anglosphere. Makes me cry every time trying to translate.

No, mainly because the ability for me to experience niche content in other cultures is ridiculously small, especially if I don’t have a hook from the English language.

International subcultures will obviously default to English, regardless of size, simply because English is the global lingua franca (unless there is very good reason to pick a different language).

I’m Dutch and fortunately they don’t dub TV programs here. Although they started doing that with some kids shows since few years which is IMO a terrible decision.

Personally I hate it when content is non-English even though it’s not my first language. I’d rather be able to follow without subtitles and Dutch content is very cringeworthy, so bad.

Nah, there’s probably language specific communities you haven’t come across simply because English communities tends to be bigger. They’re not necessarily much smaller either.
