Galicia but biggerer.
It’s only a country in the vaguist sense. It’s a historical artifact. Charlemagne’s last gasp. It’s beyond funny that they have a vote in the UN, despite being effectively a tax haven and ski resort.
It’s such a bizarre thing that Macron is a prince there.
That’s a mean thing to say about Iberia
I’m mostly just really impressed that the summon worked across at least three instances. I’m lemmy.ca, this post is on lemmy.world, and you’re probably reading and replying on slrpnk.net – maybe this lemmy federation thing is actually working haha :)
You keep those dirty miners in line! ;)
The truly dedicated can: spin up their own instance, host a bunch of content, wait for you to downvote, then check the logs. Much work to find someone to stalk :)
Whereas I just select someone at random to stalk. Like @Track_Shovel @[email protected] They’re a dirty miner! Ewwwww. ;)
Yeah, it’s way worse in vehicles haha. I have an aftermarket entertainment system in my 2006 Matrix – it has three modes: Daytime colours (bright), nighttime colours (dark blue but still bright), and screen off. Highway driving at night means the only real option is screen off. I otherwise really like the system, but it seems like a huge oversight. It seems that none of the developers of these things ever actually test them in nighttime driving/working conditions.
It’s how you know that it’s waiting for your remote controller signals, right? Otherwise how would you know that the TV is waiting. Always waiting. So lonely. Please send it signals!
Bonus points if it says something useful on that tiny piece – like a battery charge percentage or volume level.
At that point, you open the case and snip the leads going to the LEDs :D
Electrical tape gang here checking in. Less residue than duct tape – for the stupid bright LEDs you can still see them through the black tape even.
I don’t think this will be operating at the peak. But, as the martian helicopter has shown, low air density is just an engineering problem :)
Bug doesn’t know where grass is. Is this grass?

This guy is actually perched on the fibreglass frame of some pretty expensive scientific equipment. Hopefully he remains a passive feature ;)
Well, ignoring climate change for a moment. The Sun is still the source of the heat, but it is more or less constant. The atmosphere is just the tin foil around the potato.
Put another way: if the sun were to vanish, the earth would cool very quickly. Probably we’d all be dead within a month. I’ve never run that calculation. Would actually be fun to do the calculations. But the sun can’t just vanish, so ultimately it’s navel gazing.
I presume your comment was related to climate change and atmospheric composition though.
All those professionals competing in amateur Olympics really messes with the concept though, eh?
Furthermore, many countries reward medalists with a small bonus. In Canada, for example, you get something like $10-20k ($CAD) per medal. Not a lot, but you can probably cover a month or two of expenses. Being an athlete isn’t cheap.
Salt mines are so awesome. They’re usually room and pillar, so they’re the closest we get to the Mines of Moria. Plus they are almost always bright white inside, unlike most metal mines.
In conclusion: pizza hut was good in (insert decade when you were younger)
This is actually brilliant
