Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Can anyone recommend any good science communicators for a 12 year old girl?
3·1 天前I find it very weird he (and Crash Course too) isn’t top of the list in this thread.

pics@lemmy.world•After 8 named storms already this year, we had our first sunny weekend.
2·1 天前We had fog here down in southern Germany. Just fog. All winter. So bloody miserable. And not enough rain by a long shot to keep the forest from dying.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What would you want done with your remains upon death?
2·2 天前That’s what my grandma said. The family fought for weeks.

4·2 天前There’s a burial forest near here, I’ll be quite happy there. No markers, no embalment, no coffin, just a shroud and trees.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Has cosmetic surgery gotten a bit out of hand lately?
6·2 天前My son aged in a very similar way. I’m sure he hasn’t had any surgery.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the weirdest story from your high school?
3·3 天前One of their jobs is performing First Aid. There isn’t a school nurse, if something happens they’re supposed to be able to deal with it initially.
I still remember the doctor running in, trenchcoat flapping, doctor’s case flying. He still had one of those leather ones.

Wholesome@reddthat.com•Feelgood Friday... what are you looking forward to this weekend?
3·3 天前It’s Fastnacht. There will be shenanigans.

16·3 天前My art teacher died during an open evening. He had a heart attack right in front of a young girl showing a group of people around. That’s when we found out both janitors had lied about their First Aid training. The guy running the cantine had to do CPR until the doctor came running in 20 minutes later. 20 minutes is incredibly hard to do. I’m still wondering why nobody took over (there were hundreds of people there) and why they called a doctor, not an ambulance.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What should I NOT do in front of rich people?
1·5 天前I had one with an entire burrata in the middle last Saturday. It required surgery with a knife.

I’m willing to bet it tastes soapy to everyone, it’s just that not everyone likes it. It’s another one of those weird “look at me, I’m unique” things (no, aphantasia doesn’t exist either, Kevin, nobody has a TV in their head).
