So would you consider it, potentially… lazy?
So would you consider it, potentially… lazy?
And you think that’s… High effort?
How… How do you think most jokes work?
Holy shit that film is so good and also like a really weirdly niche reference
I think it’s probably fair to say that suggesting that a finger in the barrel of a gun would stop a bullet is a least 10x, if not 100x, worse than the Nazis.
You’ve got one day a fortnight to spend arguing about what was worst about Lean Code with some random wanker on the internet
Now you’re cooking with garlic 👌
Oh man, I hear you. Actually I’m a slob, I don’t just have a grinder, it’s one of those all-in-one filter coffee machines. Every morning at 6.30 there’s that grinding noise and a few mins later the smell drifts in. I don’t wanna get up but dang it you’ve made it worth my while, coffee machine, I ain’t mad.
Oh my god I didn’t know it was still up anywhere. I regret not getting a copy of the book way back when but I was a student and had no money. It was a very good comic.
'spose that’s true enough
This is why I like strong type systems with exhaustivity checks
I don’t really give a shit what you think, divorce is a big deal
Pretty condescending to tell somebody you don’t know that they need to get divorced too. Tbh libidos can go to shit after kids so yeah. Maybe my funny joke wasn’t so funny. Ah well, I always have had a crap sense of humour
For real though, why is everyone heading straight to divorce, instead of talking about how to tap that wife
economic metastasis
Love it
Apparently they can’t read their own survey results because DevEx is clearly the highest paid category there but they think it’s SRE and cloud
I never got the impression Michelle even wanted to run, and frankly I’m not impressed by the notion that the best candidate was a wife of a previous victor. Didn’t work out terribly well last time, and not actually particularly great credentials on their own
Well I think the original comic achieves more than the barest effort then. We have the setup (why seatbelt on plane?), the vaguely dark-humoured explanation, the absurdist ‘oh ok that makes sense’ as the punchline (where, y’ know, a lot of the humour is because so many people identify with that ‘i don’t care if the truth is dark I just want to know’ idea). Anyway. Not lazy.
