German male here. For me that definitely was not a regular thing. I remember only one such check when I was around 14 and one as an adult during a skin cancer checkup. Both situations weren’t super awkward, but pretty short and okay for me.

I’m not even sure if the average rich person’s life is actually getting better by hoarding even more wealth. I tend to believe that being really rich is kind of an illness. Like an addiction where you never feel powerful or rich enough because there’s always someone that’s ahead of you. I feel that capitalism, especially in its current stage, is really bad for everyone.

My Pixel 6A died from water damage two weeks ago. Bought a Fairphone 6, flashed /e/ and relocked the bootloader. For a slightly tech savvy person really easy to do. So far, everything works fine including 3/3 banking apps. I didn’t install any Google made apps and except for the gboard keyboard and Android Auto I don’t miss anything. Both could be easily installed, but I’ll try to stay away on purpose. I’m really happy and can recommend! :)
I used Reddit for years as a reader without ever posting or commenting. When alternative front ends were ditched, I switched to Lemmy which I really like. Was never banned.

Concrete is a desaster from an environmental perspective and there are other ways to dampen sound between two apartment units such as clay, straw, lime, hemp etc.

I did get the 100 notes several times and once even 200 at an ATM and I was super annoyed by that. Usually, if I withdraw larger amounts, I explicitly choose odd numbers to minimize the risk (i.e. 190 instead of 200).
