Agreed, OkC used to be quite all right but they took away so much of what made it unique.
I would be interested in such scripts. Why not share them here? 🙏
Am definitely human.

I looked into this not too long ago. Got them to share their user profile numbers - 50k - but I’ve a strong feeling that the majority of those are dummy test profiles.
For any pro sport known for rowdy, destructive fans - the clubs get to pay for the police and insurance expenses.
Oh, this would bankrupt the clubs, I hear you say? Oh no. Anyway…!
Back to the future
That’s a solid “The entire Caramba” album.
You might’ve heard (of) Habba Habba Zoot Zoot; well, they made an entire album of “plausible sounding” songs in German, Japanese, Finish, American, Russian, etc. It’s really quite hilarious.
Here’s a Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/artist/57BijyLUDfabkaaSwZsxsS
I’d pay good money, and sign whatever necessary, to get to relive the latter part of your third point. So many fun things got removed, not all of it for good reason…
She poly bombed me, came out as narcissist, and made derogatory remarks about me making a solid effort to understand poly and maintain our marriage.
Now, she’s still extremely mad at me, still very much acting like a narcissist would, and I’m the one in a harmonious poly relationship.
It’s hella tough, making a split family work when she absolutely refuses to communicate directly with me. My poor kids are stuck in the middle of this mess which will likely never mend.
But apparently that’s better than giving me just a couple of weeks to get to grips with her desires. It’s hard to forgive.
HyperCard! There’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. It was marvellous, for its time.
I’m appalled to see it compared to some shitty MS product (that I have no knowledge of), and I’ll just add that I have never encountered our hard of this bonkers “previous page is still active” issue in HyperCard - but I readily believe it’s there in 365.
Without a doubt, the bar in Ulence Flats! Different live bands on stage, very eclectic, always recognisable.
Edit: one example (in case time bookmark doesn’t work, skip to 9m 16s)
I love parking closer to the car on my right, where the passe doors face one another. If everyone did this, there would be so much more room to get in and out of vehicles.
And yes, I’m aware that not all cars are single occupant… but too many of them are.
Look, slack is 1000% better than Teams will ever be. But, Slack is also enshittifying themselves, eg. with their 3-month event horizon.
Anything Slack can do, Mattermost does – and Mattermost is free, open source, and self-hostable.
This is my hill.
Leave me be, I’m agnostic. Bother me with religious nonsense and see the atheist come out and ruin your day.
It can be made significantly more pleasant by bringing a couple of, uh, >!hunting dogs!< (is redacting called for?).
Rustle in the bush? >!Dogs!< run off. Snarls, rending noises. Piece and quiet. 😅
I haven’t even explored all the biomes but I’m quite content in my little homestead by the lake.
I have never put it into words like that, more like “make zero assumptions”.
I suppose that being overly thorough can make documentation prone to becoming tedious (unless cares is taken to not talk down to the reader) or too tightly coupled (incurring the need to be updated more often as details of the process change).
How do you usually deal with that aspect? What I do is to make the documentation easily skimmable (for advanced readers) and just accept the need for rework.
You’re brutal. You’re not wrong tho.
Adams family doorbell.
Good on corpo for allowing that. That was after I left (and in a different country) so I wasn’t aware.
Fun fact: it used to have 13 bars, but changed to the current 8 because 13 bars could not be made pretty on (8-pin) matrix printers.
Fun fact: exactly once, the team organising IBM’s participation in the Copenhagen Pride parade got away with wearing t-shirts with the bars printed in the rainbow colours. Immediately after, they were notified that such alterations to corporate branding was unacceptable.
^(I cherish the two shirts I still have.)
You could definitely use lemmy for dating if you wanted to. But dating apps offer eg. geographic filtering and (at least should!) do a much better job of guiding users to make meaningful profiles. Lemmy has no need for such.
