  • Vices are a natural part of being human. But vices can easily become difficult to manage in a healthy manner. But it sounds like you are lonely and your religion and the service from adult workers is trying to fill the void. I get it, life is hard and tough and very lonely.

Why not try to take it easy on yourself. We are all fallible, but we should strive to better ourselves, look it seems that is exactly what you are trying and wanting. This might seem stupid but I started jogging last year. I fucking sucked, but someone told me try moving half an hour a day 2-3 times a week and in a year you would have succeeded in something to further build upon. So I jogged a block and basically died, but almost a year later it changed my life, I joined a jogging group at work, made new friends and running partners, and comradeship. I am not a jogger, still doing a 5km at 57 minutes yesterday, a parkrun with friends. But my point is not to start jogging, but maybe find a hobby or activity that allows you to interact with people, no matter how stupid, and if it is something to be active then there may be a double benefit.

This will not solve your issues or vices, but I learned little by little it becomes a lot, and maybe working on yourself physically or socially, even if you are a fish out of water, will yield results in different ways. It sounds like you are working on yourself spiritually, I hope since you started you have seen a difference. But changing yourself will require work, that is what makes it so satisfactory because you worked for this change, but there isn’t a quick fix or and shortcut, but the answer is easy, small efforts everyday, results in big hard worked changes after a while.

Good luck on your journey, I hope you are able to deal with your vices and issues in a healthy but productive way.

  • It is called equity equivalents, this is where you don’t give away equity but basically still pay as if you are, hence I admit royalties are maybe not the right word but for my it is similar. Unlike other international tech companies like Google or Microsoft in our country that pays equity equivalents, the telecommunications requirements are equity or slice of your business.

  • Funny enough, I do believe our BEE laws in South Africa should be scrapped. According to our news he offered to pay 26% in royalties, like Google does for example in South Africa, but did not agree to give away equity. The BEE laws are basically a way for politically connected ANC members to get a slice of the pie, does not one bit help the majority of people here.

Look Elon is a shit, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. There also needs to be empowerment laws, I say to poor citizens not based on any race laws, even though the majority of extremely poor people are black, coloured indian, mixed…, but not ones that mostly filter to the politically connected like the current BEE laws favour.

  • Something like this is an excellent idea. I understand for the proper functioning of a democracy is to have its citizens fully informed, but the rest of the world is not a citizen of the USA. Yes I still want to know the important stuff since our world is a connected world, but do I really have to see how the POTUS is holding a water bottle weirdly, or that they like Dijon mustard on their hot dog or tripped on a stair and now their age is in question.

My country has significantly more problems that are more relevant to myself, just like every other person from another country, and being bombarded by USA politics is exhausting and quite frankly a waste of my time and mental health.

  • Yeah the lime scale buildup, or as we call it calc buildup the white calcium one basically. It is not so much cleaning the element that is my problem, it actually gets corroded away, why I have to use the copper elements, that way I usually get about three months of usage out of it. I will try the water softening system other users have recommended.

But thank you for the citric acid trick, will use the trick on my tap heads

  • Sorry we have weird names here in South Africa, a traffic light we call a robot, a fuel station a garage and in my example a water heater a geyser. I apologise I did not know no one calls the water heater a geyser apart from us.

I will look into the softener idea a bit, but yeah my anode is usually replaced on a nine month to yearly basis as well. But yeah the anode is usually almost completely dissolved or corroded away by then.
