I think you’re basically talking a modern lemmings or warios woods, and I would totally play it. That AAA rating is so clever haha.

I don’t think I’ve ever encountered this last issue but a lot of NES games had doors you couldn’t go into but they looked exactly like those you could enter. So infuriating.
I offered to teach in one of those communities through videogames but I haven’t been able to start a community or find the time to actually get a session going :(
I feel bad because some people seemed genuinely interested. I’ll have to try again soon.
The Japanese changed a lot of hanzi to make it easier. The Chinese reaaaally simplified their hanzi to a point that I, as a native Japanese speaker, find it hard to decipher. With traditional Chinese, even with the more complex strokes, I can sorta make sense of signs and even some snippets from a newspaper article.
Also note that even though each character might have the same-ish meaning across languages, we might use different combinations to describe a word.

6·11 days agoI dunno if you watch anime but most mainstream ones start off with a high school kid discovering they’ve got a special gift.
I’m Okinawan, so I never really understand the mainland Japanese obsession with cherry blossoms. But then I got to see it for the first time last year and now I get it. I hope you get to see it too one day!
The tiny bit of the cityscape you can see at the vanishing point is so cool!
I think they give out free spicy air at protests lol
The drink was very weird. I was expecting a bit of savouriness with the spice, like I’d get to drink friend chicken and beer at the same time, but nope—just irritating! I also thought it tasted more like piperine than capsaicin.
Darn. Well let me know what I need to sacrifice when there’s an opening.
Ah, thank you. I was looking for the expression “power creep” to describe this phenomenon. In Japan, we usually call it “power inflation,” and I couldn’t remember how to say it in English!
Do you showcase your work anywhere (preferably on a federated platform) or do we need to join your cult to see them?

I tried some spicy beer. 🌶️🍺
My shitty brain is trying to figure out what it would like like at the equator. Would it be flipped 90 degrees? If so, cw or ccw?

Uplifting News@lemmy.world•Zohran Mamdani Gets 8,000 Potholes Filled in a Single DayEnglish
3·17 days agoThey’re not even really using it as a metric. They’re just staying a fact and you’re getting all worked up over nothing. The article even mentioned an electric scooter rider who died after they got launched off their vehicle after they hit a pothole: this could have easily happened to a cyclist.
Oh I have no idea. It was just a joke based on your username. Jagarico is a calbee brand, right?
Do you perhaps work for Calbee? Lol
I live in japan and it’s ok as long as you don’t work for a Japanese company. I actually don’t like all the attention the country is getting on social media.

The icon is an Ryukyuan castle? That’s so random!
