It’s the Netherlands.
It’s the Netherlands.
I highly recommend the Alt Right playbook:

I was on vacation in the USA recently, and the existence of pharmaceutical advertisements was shocking. The amount of them was even more shocking!
I think that ISO 8601 is available for free. But agreed that the RFC version is superior.
I have literally never seen one that’s clear about this.
Are you saying this is what you would change?
Because there were definitely civilizations without currency.
Why would that matter?
Hold it… proof of gym attendance or gym membership?
Because I thought standard practice was to pay for the gym but not go, whether out of your own pocket or on the company… 😏
Yes, and in the video Australia says, “WTF, mate?”
My dad was a veterinarian for 30 years and always recommended dry cat food. He doesn’t have a cat any more, and I doubt that he has kept up with the latest research, so it’s possible this is outdated.
For popular stuff I stop seeding when I’ve uploaded 10x the download size. For other stuff I keep it uploading forever.
My parents are American and I spent almost half of my life in the USA. Like you I have also traveled around the world. Possibly my view is skewed because I’m currently traveling around the Gulf states (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida) on vacation and they are super poor, but to claim that the US is better than almost anywhere in Europe is crazy to me. Japan and South Korea and New Zealand also seemed nicer. Heck, you only have to cross the border to Canada to get to a place more more rational. Every place has problems, and not every place is great for every person, but the US is far down on the list of places that I would want to live ever again.
Exactly. If a company tells me that I get unlimited time off then tell me when the Christmas party is because I’m on PTO until then.
I’m not sure since I haven’t really used Windows for 20 years or so. I don’t think though, since there are separate CURSES libraries for Windows which don’t operate using escape sequences.
It’s a good idea, although some terminals will pause output when they play the sound. I always disable any sound from my terminal anyway, because computers should be seen and not heard. 😆
For some reason I remember a lot of ANSI terminal escape codes. They were used all the time on DOS machines, and work in a similar way on Unix terminals.
According to this page there is no quarantine in Finland, you just have to wait a specified time after vaccinating your cats:
I’ve only been to Helsinki, and only in the summer. It was lovely but I couldn’t really say if it makes sense to live there. My wife’s best friend is Finnish and is a bit mad, like every other Finn that I’ve ever met. So… good luck!
Dutch does that but there are limits. Four, five, six words smashed together?! Doe normaal! Germans… always going a bit too far… 😉
It’s about respect for the reader or listener. Using correct language eases the burden of deciphering what you are trying to say by using consistent forms. Otherwise it take extra effort for them to unscramble your words and figure out your meaning.
And yes, of course someone can figure out that when you say “me and Mike” you almost certainly mean to say “Mike and I”. But you’re making it harder for them by not bothering to learn or use the correct form.
