Federated git repos doesn’t mean that the source code will be replicated across instances. It just means you can do things like create tickets and pull requests across instances.
I was already on my way out of reddit before the API pricing changes, but not being able to use my choice of app was the final nail in the coffin. Using federated services after going cold turkey for about 2 months, I now have a much healthier relationship with it. I like how its smaller and I don’t get the feeling of missing out on something if I wasn’t constantly checking. I started feeling calmer and generally happier.
