Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why are there no large demonstrations in the USA against Donald Trump's policies?
4·8 months agoI think initially people felt broken by the election. The fact that so many of our people voted for him seemed crazy and crushing.
For me and people I know that fog is starting to lift and neighbors are getting organized, but it’s still in small pockets. There is no consensus leadership but there are actually lots of protests going on, like at the Tesla dealership. Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a movie that you were probably "too young" to see, when you first watched it, but you're glad you did?
2·10 months agoI saw Midnight Cowboy when I was a little kid at the drive in theater with my parents. Didn’t really understand it and I was unsettling, but I lived the song and Dustin Hoffman’s “I’m walking here!”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the unhealthiest habit you have?
4·11 months agoNaltrexone (either the oral version or the monthly injection) can be started while someone is still drinking. Might be worth asking again or talking to an addiction medicine specialist.
