I have ADHD with ASD tendencies, despite not being autistic (long story). People like us are more frequently the types who find something new to be interesting, then dive in and learn EVERYTHING about it. For example, I recently bought a new car and spent days near obsessively learning about it. How it works (first electric car), how to model current vs acceleration, how to tear it down and rebuild it, etc. I’m now in the process of compiling a FAQ for my wife, who doesn’t share my obsessive tendencies and can’t retain my frequent “hey sweetie, this is interesting!” data dumps, and setting up monitoring and automations for it on our home lab.
I used to think this was what everyone did. Turns out it’s not normal.
I just tried this and it’s genius! I haven’t ever given side mirror adjustment any thought.

It’s WAY too over the top for me. I feel like I’m going to stroke out from overstimulation after a few minutes.
Keeping itself clean while we’re gone is such a huge benefit. We have three cats and finding people to care for them used to be a pain in the ass. Now we have the Litter Robot and a couple of automatic feeders so we can leave for days at a time and the cats barely notice we’re gone.
This is an art form if you play a lawful good face character and your DM says you aren’t allowed to lie.
This is the real pro tip.
Although I think it’s fair to think about getting rid of those who want to get rid of others. Just make it a hard line: only those, no others.
Just a one off gamble aided by a cocktail of ADHD impulsiveness, COVID anxiety, and the stress of living in a 5th wheel with three cats, a dog, and my wife. We did some weird shit.
We were living with family and we had no rent/mortgage for a few months. We live in a high cost of living area, so not having that payment means having an extra $2k+ per month. I miss that part but not much else.

The year: 2020. I was playing with the stock market and decided to buy 10,000 shares of the cheapest stock, just because it was funny to say I had 10k shares in anything. It cost about $800.
A couple of months later, lo and behold, my $800 was worth about $5000! “Holy shit,” I said, “I made money on penny stocks!” I promptly sold all of it.
Several months later, I check on it again. The company has announced new technology and its share price has skyrocketed, from a few cents per stock to $25. I could have made $250k, but instead made $5k.
Does 996745 or 99645 have some sort of meaning? I’m a little lost.

Keep in mind they’re likely referring to the philosophy of liberalism, not the United States “liberal=progressive/left leaning”.
As someone who struggles with chronic illness and depression, I believe you’re right.
I’m not a psychologist, but I’ve spent a lot of time with them learning about depression and how to live with it. It’s all about incremental change. When I realize I’m slipping back into a depressive funk, I have to figure out what I did to dig this hole and start addressing that to get myself out. It’s a matter of days or weeks. I’m not special. If I was special, I wouldn’t get depressed. I just found what works for me through trial and error.
On the flip side, I have a friend who has been mired in depression for years now. He doesn’t try to change his behavior. He has an inconsistent sleep schedule, rarely goes outside his house, eats poorly, doesn’t exercise, plays video games 12+ hours most days, and, what I’d say is most important of all, won’t see a therapist to deal with his current and early childhood issues. He seems to think that playing more video games, sleeping more, and avoiding any and all unpleasantness will make him better.
I’ve run into a few people like this and they seem to reflexively write off helpful advice for incremental change. You suggest something like starting out with a 5 minute walk, once a day, just to establish a healthy habit. The response? “A five minute walk isn’t going to cure my depression”. No shit, no one suggested it would. It’s just a start to managing it.
Ugh, blockchain. During the pandemic, I had absolutely no work to do so my boss asked me to make a presentation for him to present on the merits of blockchain. When my response was that it’s overhyped bullshit, he was not thrilled.
I made the requested presentation but it made me feel dirty, so I alt texted every slide’s graphics to include the counterpoint to the bullshit benefits being presented.

I’m guessing your wife might be a redhead and/or has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome as both groups are resistant to certain types of local anesthesia. I have the latter and novocaine does next to nothing for me without using massive volumes.
Assuming I’m vaguely correct, if she hasn’t done so already, consider trying articaine, bupivacaine, or mepivacaine. I explained my situation to my dentist and he allowed me to trial each before jumping into dental work. Articaine was the first we tried and it works great for me.

I was taught the same. I got extra credit for memorizing that the Nile River was a “notable exception”.
