Free speech stops when it infringes someone else’s rights. That’s why threatening violence isn’t covered. This should be obvious.
I also note that while the tweet was self-deleted, it’s still out there now thanks to this tweet, and this post, and even my reply, much like telling a jury to disregard something that was objected to. They probably knew it too, the old post and delete method of getting people worked up and denying responsibility.
It’s an older meme, sir, but it checks out.
At one point I got offered a choice to stay with the company pension or convert it to a special 401k that had a higher contribution percentage. I said nope to the change, as I figured the only reason they’re looking to get the tenured people over to what the new people can only get is because it’s better for the company.
We lost one early to kidney disease. One week he just started acting off, not eating normal, even found him hiding in places (which is never a good sign). Started losing weight visibly, so we got him in to the vet and the blood work comes back. We took him home for one last night together with the other cats before taking him back to let him go. Still rough to think about. We’ve lost a few others mainly to old age, which is still hard, but to cut a great companion’s life in half out of the blue…
This is the right answer. Money. There’s plenty of the rest of the stuff mentioned, but cults of any sort are useful tools for the powerful. And actually, it’s not even money, it’s POWER.
Same, except I snatched up both the theater and extended the minute they came out and have watched through them all numerous times. As well as now watched a lot of reaction videos for them, which I guess counts too. It’s fun to reexperience the first time through someone else’s eyes.

Me? I’m a planner. You know? I make plans.
You’ve already made the plan, so what value do you have now?
If, uh, the plan fails… the existing plan… I make a new plan.
So you make plans that fail.
Grass not required - could be just hairball, or recent food, or not fed fast enough, or ran around like a maniac, or just for no reason at all.
I’m sure many don’t have the hardware to run local, but for most things that will probably work just as well as the full models, plus you can modify them and experiment. Start with Ollama as the base to run them, and see what works best. I tend to primarily use the edited uncensored versions of llama3 like the Neural Daredevil variations.
But just remember at any model’s base, even the biggest and best, they are at the core a predictor. This works great for some uses, not so well for others. Don’t use a screwdriver for a hammer…at least not until they merge them to be able to do both well.
Unless some evil god is opening a portal to a dark dimension. Movies have taught me at that point, you throw everything you can at it, from crossed beams to houses to nukes to whatever you have handy.

Larry Niven’s teleport pads would be cool. Except for the human tendency to stand at a doorway…keep moving!
I do agree that if Republicans ran different candidates, ones that had any semblance of ideas (even bad ones) instead of the tired personal attacks, they’d be formidable. They’ve dug themselves into a hole with the MAGA movement, even worse than they did with the Tea Party, and they seem committed to ride this one all the way off the cliff. This really is Harris’ election to lose, and that seems to be a repeated pattern, which says a lot about the DNC. If they’d try to appeal more to the progressive side and stop trying to keep the centralists, I wonder if it would be a more of a sweep from people seeing something different finally.
Third Miele. Might be a bit more than the usual, but some things you have to pay more to avoid having to buy cheap two or three times. I love the adjustable power, so you can clean delicate things or stuff that would get sucked up easily. The full power isn’t all that loud either compared to others we’ve had.
No, hand made masks. Especially when it surprises the officials who should have known it was possible and beefed up supplies of the real thing. The first few months of Covid were a wild ride on knowing what would be the best choices of DIY protection, and Etsy and other sites were crazy.
Maybe he would have lived long enough to make sure all the gospel writers were on the same page. The phrase “gospel truth” is very ironic in its usage.
