Definetly the maintenance’s fault if you can just flood a dormitory by opening the tap at a sink. The drain is supposed to handle that.

You mean Mickey7? Definetly has similar levels of horny.
Maybe they just have less lead in the water and better education.
It’s also true the other way around, especially if 4 seniors manage to block the whole path which is wide enough for a car to go down, walking next to each other.
And of course they are also too deaf to hear my bell.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you think standard batteries like A, AA, AAA, C, and D, 9V etc will eventually become obsolete?
11·5 months agoI would really hope we will start replacing them with 18650s and the like soon. Rechargeable NiMh batteries just suck in comparison to Li-Ion batteries

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some common things people buy that you would never buy?
1·5 months agoI just wait until I am at work, it’s much simpler because the coffee at work is free and I just have to press a button and wait for the cup to be full.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some common things people buy that you would never buy?
1·5 months agoI already had my car when I moved to this city and now I feel attached to it, so I don’t want to get rid of it. If I didn’t already have it I wouldn’t buy a new one now though.
It is pretty useful at times though, even if I do most things with my bike, my car has a big cargo area so I can easily transport a fridge, dishwasher, etc.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some common things people buy that you would never buy?
2·5 months agoI bought a 144hz 4K 32" monitor a few years ago, it wasn’t cheap (800€) but I don’t regret buying it, everything just looks better on it than it ever did on the previous monitor.

2·5 months agoA dining table is good for when family comes over and you want to eat something together. Now I also use it to eat something with my wife, but before I rarely used it. It helped that it was a hand me down from my mother though, so I didn’t have to pay anything.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Has anyone else noticed how dead most bars/clubs are now?
1·6 months agoSometimes I only find out that something only gets delivered to the US when I get to the checkout stage where you enter the adress and there is no option for countries.
It’s not that hard to put this information on your website.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are you a feminist? (If so why, if not why not?)
11·8 months agoI agree, but sadly I have seen posts claiming that all men are monsters and lots of people agreeing online, and not just once or twice.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Are you a feminist? (If so why, if not why not?)
16·8 months agoExactly, also this “all men are bad and monsters” has to stop. This is not how you get the good men to help you stop and punish the bad men.
But yeah, fuck the patriarchy, women should have just as many rights and freedoms as men do, in theory and in practice.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there like a cheat code for dating apps?
17·9 months agoThis is a good idea in general, however this doesn’t help when it comes to getting the first interest, because how can you tell if someone is really genuine about caring from a few words on a profile?
But yeah, my girlfriend wanted to start dating me not because I am the most attractive person, but because I am always nice to her and to people in general. To me it seems crazy to not be, but I guess not everyone is like that.
It was a pretty new Audi Q5 from the drivers school. This was in 2016

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Europeans, how far do you walk for groceries?
4·10 months agoThe closest grocery store/supermarket is around 1km away from my house and a few others are just slightly further away. I could walk there, but I have better ways to use my time, so I just go with my bike.
The pannier bags also enable me to buy heavy stuff without having to lift it the whole way.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•why are website language switchers in the current language?
6·10 months agoI have my Google Account set to English, but YouTube still autotranslates all video titles of newer videos to German for some reason…

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•is white light "white" because that's what our start emits?
2·10 months agoCorrect, if we go to a red dwarf star after a few minutes we would also percieve the light as white if it isn’t extremely red.
I have to use this at work, so yeah.
The really scary part is, I have gotten used to it and now it doesn’t feel so bad anymore.
Yes, I know how entitled some people in the US can be. Don’t get me wrong, we also have some of those here but the entitled people in the US are on a different league. I visited the US once and we experienced the first entitled person before even getting through security.
I guess here in Germany we don’t have quite the same mentality that the business needs to help pack your stuff, we also don’t have grocery baggers (or door greeters).

They are very closely related anyway. I have a few plants in my garden that are hybrids of raspberries and blackberries.
