Same exactly for me. I listen to tons of music at work and at home on my own time. But never outside.

Maybe we can put our differences beside us. For science. You monster.
Every time
Is this a Steve1989MREInfo reference?

That actually sounds kinda fun

I used to dual boot windows just for when I needed to run LR Classic or Photoshop but now I just use winboat which makes them usable in Linux in your desktop environment while under the hood its running through a VM. It works great except not having GPU acceleration hurts, but it was a compromise worth it to me to not have to reboot into and out of windows.

I ended up trying it out on windows. My performance was fine, and I can get past the low resolution editing, but adjusting exposure and especially highlights is still very bad. Instead of recovering highlights it just… Makes it less bright. Like editing a JPG.
I wonder if its actually an issue of how the program is reading ARW files? Maybe its only reading the embedded jpeg from the ARW (ARW is sony’s RAW file format - I’m shooting on an A7R V for reference)
Edit: on second though it definitely isn’t using embedded jpeg since those are way lower resolution, but still maybe it isn’t handling the file correctly

I took a shot at this since it has Linux support. Generally I’m having to either use Darktable or dual boot into windows to use LR Classic (especially if I need to denoise the photos)
For the controls themselves it had most of what I use from LR Classic (probably a good time to mention I never used LR so I can’t compare that) but I had 3 major issues. Both may be because I’m on openSUSE which is not officially supported, although an RPM is provided
The UI is extremely slow to use. Slower than LR classic even.
I can’t figure out how to show my photos at full 60MP resolution. It seems to show only proxies that completely fall apart when you try to zoom. I could only imagine performance being even worse however with full resolution.
Editing highlights down completely falls apart as if I was editing a jpg and not RAW. I was willing to work past the other 2 issues but not that.
I am still interested in the software as it gets updates though, and its very possible my issues are because I’m running it in opensuse.

I bought the galaxy fold 3 when it came out and stopped using cases or screen protectors about a year ago when I realized I never drop my phone (knock on wood). This phone can be pretty thick with a case added so I prefer it this way.
Yep you can toggle it with F4

Glad you like it! I’m curious which singer you are referring to since as far as I know all the vocals in Carpenter Brut songs are via collaboration.
Some other of my favourite songs from him:
The Good Old Call
Vances De 87 (Carpenter Brut Remix)
Lipstick Masquerade
MANIAC
Looking for Tracy Tzu
Listen to the first song in Trilogy, “Escape from Midwich valley”. It starts out like of slow but the end perfectly sets up the rest of the album as very heavy synth
Be careful driving while listening to CB, driving under the speed limit may be an effort in futility while you listen!
Also, if you listen to Leather Terror, there’s 2 songs in there that have to be played back to back and its unbelievably hard. That would be Day Stalker and Night Prowler. Try listening to them back to back. Night Prowler starts extremely heavy

Might be able to work something together with TDARR and maybe Syncthing or something to handle the file transportation

Synth metal is right up my alley and I’d call Carpenter Brut the king of it.
Few tracks I’d recommend in particular:
Hairspray Hurricane
Turbo Killer
Le Perv
There’s way more than that but that’s a good start. Of his albums, Trilogy is more synth, Leather Teeth is middle, and Leather Terror is more metal, but all of them go extremely hard

Carpenter Brut?

Truthfully, if Lightroom was on Linux, I would prefer to use it, but there’s no denying that dark table is much more powerful than Lightroom and probably any similar software out there

I have a Samsung fold 3 that I’ve been using since launch. Never had any issues with it and don’t use it with a case either. The inner screen is not cracked or missing anything but there is a visible crease, and the inner screen protector came off naturally a long time ago

Same. I tried the official app after sync stopped working and hated it
My reason for choosing openSUSE was admittedly shallow but I’m here to represent our team!
Inspector Gadget
This is one of my favorite albums ever.
If anyone was wondering, I believe nearly the whole album is made up of samples.
The Avalanches have a ton of other stuff. If you are a fan of Since I Left You, definitely check out the Gimix version which starts similar but has a lot of different tracks in it (including much more famous songs) https://youtu.be/X7i8bIhJY8c
