Synth metal is right up my alley and I’d call Carpenter Brut the king of it.
Few tracks I’d recommend in particular:
Hairspray Hurricane
Turbo Killer
Le Perv
There’s way more than that but that’s a good start. Of his albums, Trilogy is more synth, Leather Teeth is middle, and Leather Terror is more metal, but all of them go extremely hard
Carpenter Brut?
Truthfully, if Lightroom was on Linux, I would prefer to use it, but there’s no denying that dark table is much more powerful than Lightroom and probably any similar software out there
I have a Samsung fold 3 that I’ve been using since launch. Never had any issues with it and don’t use it with a case either. The inner screen is not cracked or missing anything but there is a visible crease, and the inner screen protector came off naturally a long time ago
Same. I tried the official app after sync stopped working and hated it
My reason for choosing openSUSE was admittedly shallow but I’m here to represent our team!
Inspector Gadget
Explorer being ridiculously slow even on a fairly fresh install with the addition of popup ads for black ops/MSFS was enough to make me finally jump over the fence a few weeks ago.
I still have to dual boot for certain games and programs but I had enough of windows being my default environment
I guess the trivia for me is I had no idea they brought it back, at least for classic, not the full game (which is not possible to do anymore apparently). I just tried it out and it seems very similar if not the same, except the multiplayer seems to work different.
I remember playing scripted capture the flag games on public Minecraft classic servers with the server browser listed directly on Minecraft.net
I don’t see anything like that remaining, but it looks like it lets you invite people directly to your world instead
This is what the server browser used to look like: https://web.archive.org/web/20120210141815/http://www.minecraft.net/classic/list
This isn’t really trivia for anyone who played back then,
But you used to be able to play Minecraft for free back on the official website with no download required. Even online servers. It wasn’t an updated version of the game (Minecraft classic), but if you paid for the game it would be and still not be download required to play
I started playing Minecraft before they were added (beta 1.5_01) so I have some nostalgia too but I still liked the new sound.
I liked it too. The old one is nice too, but in a different way
It’s basically somewhere exactly between the DS and the 3DS. It has games & apps you can get from the eshop (can’t remember if that’s what it was called), it has cameras, but the games will have about the same graphics fidelity as regular NDS games. It had few games exclusive to the DSi. Alternatively just think of it as an NDS with a home menu and eshop
Makes sense considering how musically distanced RAM is from everything else they’ve made, it’s a lot less house-y than their earlier albums. Talking as a die hard daft punk fan.
Noo all the best music is gone
I’ve had one of these running for years, honestly I didn’t expect it to last this long as it looks really cheap
I used to use this but now I just use yt dlp since it seems to handle random stuff with more success and it’s just as easy to use
Glad you like it! I’m curious which singer you are referring to since as far as I know all the vocals in Carpenter Brut songs are via collaboration.
Some other of my favourite songs from him:
The Good Old Call
Vances De 87 (Carpenter Brut Remix)
Lipstick Masquerade
MANIAC
Looking for Tracy Tzu
Listen to the first song in Trilogy, “Escape from Midwich valley”. It starts out like of slow but the end perfectly sets up the rest of the album as very heavy synth
Be careful driving while listening to CB, driving under the speed limit may be an effort in futility while you listen!
Also, if you listen to Leather Terror, there’s 2 songs in there that have to be played back to back and its unbelievably hard. That would be Day Stalker and Night Prowler. Try listening to them back to back. Night Prowler starts extremely heavy
