Are we sure about those numbers? Last I checked, China has more billionaires than the U.S.

So, I don’t know if there’s some kind of psychological phenomenon at play here — but it sounds like something very similar to a circumstance my mom went through (albeit, the stakes were much different).
She used to smoke, and when she decided she wanted to have a kid (eventually me) she gave it up. What she told herself was that if she quit and wanted to start back up at 65, ok? Who cares, she’s already old at that point so it’s not like it’s worse than having smoked for the previous 45 years.
Eventually never went back to them. She is actually repulsed by cigarettes now.
I think what I take from that is my mom didn’t really give up cigarettes, at least not psychologically. In her mind she could go back at any time and there was no issue, she’d just go back to not smoking (and she didn’t even do that, she just quit). I wonder if maybe a similar thing happened to you here? You gave yourself a goal so far ahead in the future that you also gave yourself ample time to grow — even if that goal was inevitably death. It’s almost like sewerslide was your way of equalizing the playing field.
Idk, I could be wrong — I’m glad you didn’t go through with it, though.
some people
You are correct, however sometimes things are easier said than done.
Because some people, including women, will never learn. It’s better to be not alone and sexually unsatisfied than alone and sometimes sexual satisfied.
Positively impacting shitty people’s lives is, in fact, shitty.
You know mimes can speak, right? Like the mime could just end the act.

The cracks have been there for years, we just wanted to believe that they weren’t because when we do acknowledge them we acknowledge that all of our money has gone to the parasite class.
Edits: words are hard, can’t decide how I want to say this — you get the picture.

1·15 days agoAnd I doubt that anything I say will change your feelings on the matter. I just dislike the hypocrisy of applauding performative climate activism when it is clearly that.
If you genuinely care about the environment and stemming the completion of the 6th known mass extinction event, you need to stop buying so much oil and oil byproducts. You should consider an internationally performing music artist tied to big record labels as an oil byproduct.
“You gonna eat that?”
Exactly this, they have all the context they need and they’re still sitting here spinning about the post being about men (arbitrarily or not).
The odd upvotes on their later comments are also odd. Very weird to be ratio’d so hard and then reverse that trend by making exactly 0 changes to your point. Could be bots
Men are simple, really
Yes it sure is difficult to see the context here. So very difficult.
Does it frustrate you that two men had this ‘conversation’? Would the meme have been better if it said women? Would your feelings have remained intact?
Type 2 fun, or maybe Type 3 if you have… idk the word, decency? Human decency, I guess?

12·19 days agoI see your point, however one could argue that just because we can do something doesn’t mean we should.
For example, boats. Roughly 40% of all the oil produced goes straight into the bowels of boats that ship oil to other places. This abundance of oil allows you to experience things like being able to eat asparagus out of season.
Does it make sense to be so inefficient? No, but we still do it because much like an alcoholic — we don’t know how else to be and people will literally die if the oil stops flowing. We’re seeing it now in real time.
How does this connect to the music industry? Well, the ‘performance value’ you’re referring to is entirely propped up by the oil industry. Whether it’s trucks and buses to carry equipment across the country the artist plays in, or planes to carry those same people and equipment to other countries — it is all ultimately propped up by oil. Tons and tons of it, we aren’t even getting into all the plastic that ends up being sold as merch. Further still, we haven’t addressed all the oil that goes into making their equipment, buses, trucks, planes, etc. etc…
So yeah, you can make the argument that the production value is simply superior for these big name artists. You are also tacitly expressing support for the very systems that are pushing for fascism worldwide — whether you accept reality or not.
Like, of course I would like to see individuals like Eilish do more stuff like this. I’d also like the music industry to utterly collapse. I would much rather see the music industry collapse, actually.
Blockchain technology never should have been called a currency. Blockchains have legitimate uses, being a currency is not one of them — despite the zeitgeist.
I can find sources but for one thing, aspartame has been looked at for years as a carcinogen, 4-MEI (caramel coloring) is also a carcinogen, articles like this one point to sucralose being quite bad for you in many different ways.
If your sugar free soda contains caffeine then it can actually contribute to hydration loss, this is because caffeine is a dieuretic (something that increases urine production and removes extra salt and water from the body).
Plus the simple logic is: sugar free soda cannot be almost identical to plain water because of the sheer amount of additives. You will always be better off health-wise drinking clean water.
For one thing I wasn’t the OC. For another, what the OC immediately pointed out is that women have been invading male only spaces for decades. In fact it was practically propagandized following the second World War, unless we’re conveniently forgetting about ‘Anything you can do I can do better! Anything you can do I can do best!’ .
Literally, men’s only private clubs were almost sued out of existence because of women alleging discrimination (because they weren’t allowed in and the club catered to men first, god forbid).
All of this to say, completely disregarding what men actually do in male spaces is thoughtless at best — misandry at worst. Truth be told, I don’t actually give a fuck if men or women have safe spaces — I don’t expect anything of value to come from either environment. I blocked the women’s only community immediately.
I think if you look at in isolation, sure, much like beer in a survival situation. Sugar free soda is still linked with things like higher blood pressure, diabetes — which, to me, sounds like you’re just better off drinking water.
