What’s the difference? I rarely use Python and every time I do I have to relearn which tools are the go to ones. In Java it’s a little simpler, we really just have Maven and Gradle. They have their own problems, sure, what tool doesn’t, but the thing that annoys me about python is the quantity of tools. There often isn’t a clear winner.

Now, to be fair to python, a lot of the ones mentioned on this post are very specifically for data science use cases and not general purpose development.

This is probably my biggest complaint about trying to learn Python past the beginner level and into intermediate and beyond. This is also one of my strongest arguments in favor of static type systems over dynamic ones.

Yeah exactly. The Drive Sync hasn’t been too bad but OneDrive app is much more limited and I’m afraid to use it because it’s so flaky. Especially on non-Windows.

Awesome. I wonder if I can incorporate OneDrive easily. I’m on a family plan and have 1 TB of storage. Maybe there’s a way to upload stuff to OneDrive without the garbage of OneDrive.

Bedrock is a mess. Absolutely wild the things it wants you to pay for.

A lot of the game feels weirdly disconnected. Like there will be something that randomly only works with bamboo and not wood. Or how copper is hugely abundant but doesn’t have many real uses.

Vanilla definitely has enough content now to be fun on its own, but I still think modded Minecraft is best.

They had some push to get people to migrate by giving them free Bedrock if they did but I missed that. Then they either started the promotion again or just combined the purchase but I’d already bought bedrock because I was curious about the ray tracing. For real, there was like a six month window there. I’m probably the only sucker to have done this.

I think venv is the best because it’s built in. But I’m also not a Python dev.

Ironically this might be the best course of action regardless of the bridge. Because it’s usually crisis based it doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily find a different bridge to try it on.

He definitely didn’t say “Iraq too”. I’ve heard the clip and seen the video. He said something like “heh, Iraq…” And continues on. As much as people want to make this slip up into some full blown admission of guilt it’s simply not what happened. The most I’m willing to accept is that it was a Freudian slip.

Edit: After re listening to the clip, I can see why people say he says “Iraq too,” it’s not as clear cut as I remember. Given the way he jokes about his age afterwards I wouldn’t see it as a confession though, worst case just a joke in poor taste about a slip of the tongue.
