I feel like Mac is the right option for “normies”. Windows is basically malware at this point.
Ummm if anything he’s actually making money lol. Seriously though its crazy that Jake quit because LMG didn’t want to give him a raise, then Linus buys a 5-million dollar jet.
If its legally required what are their options? I currently use Pop! OS, what are my options in that scenario? Like legally speaking how does age verification work?
Except for every time they used the Space Shuttle lol
Typical Chad move.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•SteamOS will soon support the Lenovo Legion Go 2
5·8 months agoHas legality or bad PR stopped Microsoft in the past? Worst case they pay a fine and everyone continues to use Windows anyways. The only reason Microsoft hasn’t done this already is because they haven’t figured out a way to profit from it yet.
Basically all of Valves business relies on Windows. Valve saw how Apple operates MacOS and iOS, then saw Microsoft release the Windows Store and put two and two together lol.

44·8 months agoI think the whole point of Steam OS is to cut down reliance on Microsoft. If Microsoft really wanted to the could cut support to Steam all together.

2·9 months agoMagnets work due to the alignment of tiny atomic magnets within a material. Electrons, spinning around the nucleus of an atom, create a magnetic field. In most materials, these fields point in random directions, canceling each other out. However, in ferromagnetic materials like iron, nickel, and cobalt, the magnetic fields of many atoms can align, creating a larger, overall magnetic field. This alignment is responsible for the attraction and repulsion we observe between magnets.
Homer Simpson can afford a 4 bedroom house with a two car garage, 3 kids, a stay at home wife, a dog and a cat from a single white collor job. And they depict this outcome as if he’s sacrificing something or as a punishment.
He’s literally living most millennials dream, that’s how much they stole from us.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who is a celebrity you used to really like, but don't anymore?
1·1 year agoI think people here are taking OPs question a little bit to seriously and Kevin Smith is 100% a valid answer. The question was about someone you “liked” and don’t “like” now. Not, who turned out to be a horrible person.
Kevin Smith hasn’t done anything controversial and genuinely seems like a nice man enjoying life and good for him. But, artisticly his movies have fallen off considerably in my opinion and lack any effort/message. Personality wise he’s also made a major shift. Previously being more thoughtful and critical of things to now kind of just gone full “happy stoner shill”.
As someone who grew up in 90s New Jersey Kevin Smiths and his early work will always hold a special place in my heart but I’ll probably never watch anything new he’ll ever make the rest of my life.

When was GN proven wrong and did they at least admit they where wrong? Everybody gets things wrong, it’s how often you’re wrong and how you handle being wrong that matters.
Not being held legally liable ≠ Nothing happened
Afaik the report that was done was not made public. If one side paid for the investigation and controls all the info in said investigation then it can’t be used as proof of innocence.
The firm also has its own reputation to consider, and wouldn’t let a client get away with materially misrepresenting their results.
Meaning what? What would the company doing the investigation do is if the claims that someone said:
I was asked about my sexual history, my boyfriends sexual history, “how I liked to fuck”.
I was asked to twerk for a co-worker at one point.
I was told I was chunky, fat, ugly, stupid. I was called “retarded” I was called a "removed
Where true? How would one even prove that actually happened to them? The Investigation Company surely signed an NDA and had no legal ability to release any info found in says investigation right? If they started releasing info that accusations where in fact true they would lose all their business immediately right?

Here’s a quick roundup of some, but not all of the issues people have with LTT.
A former LTT employee made claims of sexual harassment and poor working environment. LTT paid a third party to investigate those claims and unsurprisingly didn’t find evidence that supported those claims. A lot of LTT stans use this as “evidence” that the accuser was lying. Assuming that is clearly false logic, investigating yourself isn’t proof of innocence.
