Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Should I get rid of my VHS collection
1·2 months agoOh thats cool:)
If I had to send these from greece I think it’d be very expensive (I think they accept stuff from two points in the world, somewhere in the usa and somewhere in uk, both outside eu which makes it very expensive).

But thanks anyways:)

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Docker or Proxmox? Something else entirely?English
1·4 months agoOh I didnt see the downvotes😅
Hm, to explain my reasoning:
-
I saw them talking about stuff that seemed complex to me and seem to have some experience with servers (already had a server), so I’d say they know way more about me and I’m going to set up a nixos server in like a month (been using them on my laptop for ~9months, but not in any fancy way). If I can, they I guess they probably can too.
-
I thought about throwing an idea to consider. I’m too in the process of learning so I cant give a good plan yet:/
I see that in the end they ask for a nuanced answer, rip, I failed to do that

3·4 months agoMaybe you could try nixos?
https://thepressproject.gr/police-failures-and-ignored-warnings-the-femicide-of-kyriaki-griva/
In Greece, last year, a woman asked the police to accompany her to her house because she was suspecting her ex was following her and was gonna hurt her and they told her “the patrol car is not a taxi”.
Soon after she was stabbed to death by her ex…
Police can’t really be trusted. It is also likely that they might turn on the victim.

Well, with nixos you can just use your config and set up almost everything declaratively and as long as you keep it tidy, have a good overview of your system:)

Hmm, maybe listenbrainz explore could help with that

16·8 months agoYikes, that terrible…
I think you need some more “official” help to this (I dont know where to direct you though…)
As to the “shaping” part, that’s your dad traumatizing you to conform to patriarchy and eventually become emotionally numb and cruel, ~just what patriarchy wants in order to survive… ughh, that’s really bad (you can learn more from the book “The will to change”, where bell hooks explains it very well)

Tl;dr: From what I understand, they’re gonna ask the internet providers (though it might also include vpn providers, streaming services etc.) any info about you that they consider necessary (so you could assume anything they have about you). So my opinion is, if you have a proper vpn that follows the zero-trust model, it should probably protect you. The main new thing here is that it has become illegal to consume pirated media (instead of only sharing them).
In the article you posted, there’s the governmental announcement too:
https://search.et.gr/el/fek/?fekId=777704
From the article you posted:
I couldnt find what is defined as providers in Paragraph 10A from article 66E (this should be stated in pages 583-585)

2·9 months agobut they are all in Greek
Haha sure, send me the greek ones, μπορω να τα διαβασω:)

Umm, I may accidentally changed that by staying for like 12hours outside with a mask on and when I’d go home I’d be tired and would sleep soon after. Did it for like a month?
Or was it another change at this time, not sure
