A lot of good advice in this thread for some very thoughtful people. OP I want you to practice setting some boundaries with this guy even if you like him and continue seeing him.
Tell him no about things sometimes. Like “no, I can buy that myself”. Make sure he respects your wishes about minor things and has even, level-headed emotionally mature reactions to your boundaries.
Right? But you can do those projects and know you own the thing. And if you can save for a down payment, you can set money aside for those projects along the way as well.

Healthcare…you get numb to a lot. But honestly I can’t stand phlegm.
Just finally landed a “starter” home. 325k. During comparisons we looked at old listings of it being half that a decade ago. I still feel lucky because that’s “cheap” for a good neighborhood where I am. Mortgage and all rolled together comes in ar only $200 higher than my current rent, which will surely continue to rise every year unlike my fixed mortgage. But saving up that down payment in this economy took everything I had even with a decent salary.
When I saw the pic all I could think of was the horrendous amount of ticks that person may now be hosting.
I can’t fall asleep unless I’m in some weird position. Mainly legs curled up, back arched, hugging a pillow or blanket. The top one makes my back hurt.
I end up taking half days off or working slightly later to offset leaving earlier on some days.
Ramshackle little fence cage just adds to its…charm.

I author those kinds of papers routinely for work unfortunately. Usually closer to 30-40 pages but there are graphs so I guess that takes a few pages off. But….yeah…

I was this kid. Our household was a little free range (lots of booze and rolled up dollar bills, not a lot of food and often no electricity). I had lice a few times, and we also had some food insecurity, but I honestly have almost no memory of it. So I stole food and I was stinky. Being ostracized, I made up friends to talk to as a coping mechanism. I guess those were my crimes.
People remember how you made them feel. Even if like you are the most clean cut, kind, patient individual. If you show them something alarming it sticks around a while. Like lack of emotional regulation. Angry is fine, but I find a lot of the time when people say they are angry sometimes they then describe something that is violent.

Truly lost count. Not that many. A handful in my twenties but I’m not positive of the exact number. They were either not that memorable one time things, or 2-3 year relationships.
I have the big water bottle, the little water cup by the sink, and the can of seltzer. Just depends on which one I walk by.
It’s been like this for me lately. We hired someone and they turned out to be a bully. I have turned to doing my admin work at home due to their constant hounding of me disturbing my peace. Hopefully they’ll be gone soon, as they’ve been written up a couple of times now.
