Well for starters most residential outlets are rated for 15 amps. You don’t need to run a lot of stuff on that outlet, a vacuum and a space heater is most likely enough for the outlet to overheat. Toss in an extension cord and another appliance and the outlet is going to melt. And since you’re only pulling like 25 amps once the short happens when the live parts touch each other the arc explosion would be spectacular. Since you’re on a 500 amp switch gear breaker with selective coordination set in a way that not only is the outlet done, but the wiring I’m assuming is not ran to the outlet in 600kcm copper, so all the wiring from the outlet to the breaker is also going up in vapor. By the time the breaker trips your house just went through a neat fireworks show and it’s ablaze.

  • I’m sorry trump fixed what? There is 0 incentive for any company at all to make a better product. There’s no money in making good products. If you can only sell something once you go out of business. Look up that pan company that made some of the best pots and pans but then had to file for bankruptcy. Second of all stocks are the ONLY thing that matters in our current version of capitalism. Making money for the investors is the sole goal for corporations. If the incentive isn’t to make a good product, but to monopolize the market so there’s no one that can make a product better than yours then the end goal is to own the law that will can prevent you from owning everything. Which is where trump comes in, dismantling laws and regulations that hold corporations accountable. Not only is Trump not fixing anything, he’s actively the guy inside politics changing the rules to benifit corporations and stocks. And the fact that he’s failing this hard is comical.

  • I really don’t think they understand this… If an ad starts playing on YouTube I just turn it off and see why my ad blocker isn’t working. If it doesn’t work I simply don’t watch the video. I had no desire to switch to Firefox because Chrome was just working for me, but then it didn’t work. There’s no way in hell I’m sitting here with my adhd addled brain, with my 4 year old phone in my hands watching for 30 seconds why I need a brand new acura.

The only time I’ve ever willingly watched an ad was tiktok. Because they know I can simply swipe and skip it, but sometimes the sponsored content is creative and entertaining.
