Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Anon died on the "clang format bad" hill
6·12 days agoThe default clang-format configuration is absolutely horrendous, but for our company we had an in house clang-format configuration that actually made the code look quite good. The problem is you still have to control code spacing/some alignments yourself.

72·29 days agoAs much as I advocate for human written code, we should also acknowledge that AI has gotten way more competent recently, esp. on the coding front. I think security and vulnerability scanning, (maybe together with code review?), should be the few valid uses of AI.

Linux@lemmy.world•Klassik brings KDE3’s look and feel to KDE Plasma 6 – OSnewsEnglish
1·1 month agoOff-topic (somehow?) but I’ve always loved the look and feel of GNOME 3.8. The modern GNOME is too minimal and too corporate. Seeing the old one evokes some warm nostalgic feelings of fiddling with CentOS 7 back then. So it’ll be kinda cool if we have something like this, but for GNOME. And also KDE 4!
