That looks like a parrot snake to me, but I am no professional
It doesn’t have the head or body shape of a pit viper. Also, green pits are not native to the Americas, not that this means much anymore with the exotic animal trade sometimes resulting in non-native pets released into the wild
Found in the wild so I think you’re probably right, I’ll see if I can update the title
