Lemmy is becoming increasingly negative I’ve noticed so I’ve been upvoting and downvoting more as well as generally trying to post positivity.

This service won’t survive if it’s full of miserable people posting for hate clicks.

I haven’t noticed a difference, other than the obvious fact that the world is going to shit, which means people are understandably more negative.

This is the same thing that happened back in the day with Digg/Reddit. Same shit.

There’s bots, or just a broader user base that disagrees, but in general, I’ve noticed Lemmy being a bit better over the last 2 years since I exodused Reddit.

Anyhow, point being, I do respect your view and perspective that things are getting more negative, but that’s a part of the growth cycle of these systems, and the same thing was said at similar times during other platform’s growing periods.

Just keep being positive and be the change you want to see on Lemmy and others will follow.
