You should check out Dank Material Shell. Pairs like a fine wine with Niri.
No I am happy with my lightweight alternatives. Try to follow the principle “do one thing well” as much as I can. So having smaller different apps is why I will never use DMS or noctalia

waybardepends on gtk-layer-shell/gtk3.ironbardepends on gtk4-layer-shell, which is disappointing since it’s implemented in Rust.If there is an option that doesn’t incur a GTK or QT dependency, I would like to know about it.
