I believe the pawn on e7 may be doing some heavy lifting to that calculation.
Also i am not sure the rook badger is holding is actually out of the game or simply being moved.
Both players seem to suck at chess and violated opening principles, left the king vulnerable but thats totally allright if they are both having fun.
But I can’t also help but notice that the over relying on pawns to do the dirty work with the nobel pieces mostly just doing fuck all about the chaos very much echoes real life. Is that a deliberate message?
To reach that board state and have had the rook captured would require some really unhinged play, and given the rook is tilted differently to the captured pieces I assumed it was being moved
Yeah, I totally see where you are coming from. For me, the rook was merely standing at the side of the board. You interpreted, that the badger actually holds it in their paw. Which is an absolutely valid assumption.
White in case you are curious.

White is currently moving the rook, a blunder, no matter where the rook is placed it brings the prediction to -4.x for Black.
It surprised me its still that bad given a couple of obvious moves actually tip the balance slightly into Blacks favour.
I interpreted it simply as “the badger is reaching to move” hence “white to move.”
