  • Linux piracy can honestly be a pain in the ass. I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much over it if it wasn’t working properly.

There’s someone called “johncena” then some numbers who supposedly uploads some kind of Linux-ready release of games.

I’m a Linux pirate so I’ve been going through the trials and tribulations to get games to work. For the best results, I typical need to install the game in a Windows VM then copy it over to my main OS. It’s a hassle and takes up a lot of storage in the process, but it’s nice when it works.

It sucks when it doesn’t work and can feel like a waste of time. That’s something I’ve just gotten used to with computers.

  • You really shouldn’t let the state of the world breed you out of the gene pool.

Also, consider how humans in the past lived. Most of them had way, way worse lives than what the average person experiences today.

It’s not even close. Take a look at what life was like before we eradicated Smallpox, for example.

Right now is unironically the safest, most prosperous time in human history to have children.

  • Episode 0. I’ve never seen it, but it seems like the kind of dumb normie-show that I wouldn’t like. I base this solely off of all the morons I see that went apeshit over it when it came out.

Instead, treat yourself to some high-brow art like Undone. You probably haven’t heard about it because it’s an Amazon Prime exclusive, and most of the idiots today “consuming” digital entertainment have been conditioned to only see what’s a part of their paid streaming service(s).

Since we’re smarter than the average idiot, we can stream it for free here: https://hydrahd.io/ No account or credit card info required, but you will need an adblocker (which you should already have, but many morons complain about ads to this day without realizing adblockers exist.)

  • To counter everyone saying “they do,” could you be referring to more high-profile cases?

Trump was shot at, but not killed. Would’ve made history if he was.

The US doesn’t have political assassinations on the level of say, Mexico, but they are frequent enough for someone to be able to point to them still happening. Usually it’s about some congressperson that we’ve never heard of.

I’m not sure if there’s greater protection based on the popularity of politicians. It would make sense if someone like AOC gets more protection than, well, someone we haven’t heard of.

  • It’s up to you whether or not it’s important. I see your point on whether or not it’s possible, and I’m inclined to agree with you.

I’m glad that pretty much all of the artists I enjoy didn’t do anything like drug and rape women or come out in favor of oppressive nonsense (as far as we know.)

It doesn’t surprise me that the businessmen posing as artists routinely end up being pieces of shit. It’s always good for a laugh when the morons who liked their art find out for themselves.

  • I dunno about brita specifically, but my walmart water filter has served me well throughout the years.

Back when I moved in to a friend’s house and started drinking his tap water, I would get sick all the time. I knew it was the water, I could feel it. Every time I drank it, it tasted weird, metallic, and I could tell I was poisoning myself.

Ever since I started filtering it, I stopped getting sick. Haven’t looked back and have been drinking walmart-filtered tap water ever since.

Haven’t been sick in years, either.

  • Black Lives Matter is a fine name for what it supports.

I didn’t study the etymology of feminism, but in practice it has always resulted in fighting for women’s rights while ignoring or paying lip-service to men’s rights.

There’s no feminist platform that advocates for removing men from the draft or including women in it, for example. I don’t believe that the differences between men and women, especially today, are great enough to give any preference to one sex over the other. Most of us are suffering because we are poor.

From my experience, feminists will say feminism is about equality to fool people who don’t know any better into supporting a cause that is practically about female superiority. They believe it’s woman’s turn to be the oppressors and to them that is ‘fair.’

This is exemplified by how it’s socially acceptable (even encouraged) to make disparaging comments about men, but making similar comments about women will get you ostracized. You can’t say you’re for equality of the sexes if you laugh when somebody says “I hate all men” but get angry if someone else says “I hate all women.” Neither is acceptable, but feminists will disagree.

  • Not really.

Black Lives Matter is a movement specifically to shed light on how cops abuse their power towards people of color and frequently go unpunished for it. Black Lives Matter is not about addressing how white people may suffer at the hands of police brutality and if you’re trying to argue that it is, then you’re either disingenuous or ignorant.

You do have a point though, where both feminism and Black Lives Matter focus on one group over people over others.
