Yeah, I describe OpenBSD as very easy… for those already who are already quite familiar with Unix.
Very nice for setting up quick servers.

We’re DECSystem10, though sinza is a convenient singular entity that we tend to use I as. We are a plural collective!
I enjoy retrocomputing and find that NetBSD is awesome! In general I prefer BSD to Linux actually.
I enjoy getting old computers to talk to each other, as well as alternatives to the web where possible like Gopher, Gemini, and Spartan!

Getting more into the BSDs.
I have OpenBSD as a desktop on a laptop I have and it’s great.
Also wanting to get back into retrocomputing.

Not my instance (I’m posting from PieFed lol), but I noticed that lemmy.blahaj.zone has five UIs, including mlmym, set up.

Went to an auction and got a cash register for rather cheap. Now I can run a store from home as I have a scanner, thermal printer, and a credit card terminal as well!
Don’t know if I want to, but I at least have everything now lmao

Heading to an auction, same as I do every Saturday. :-)
Last week I did get an old eMachines computer from about 2000 for a pretty good price, so I’m happy as can be.

Read my post. I said “ruin a good thing” which very much is referring to that.

Vibe-coders (actually probably will steal “slop kiddies”) ruin a good thing yet again.
I turn to retrocomputing to get away from it all because I would expect people in that world to generally agree this is horrible and there’s somehow vibe-coding there too. I’m so tired of this.
I definitely tend to think short term. If I enjoy the process, then I can go long term, but I am prone to short term thinking.
I’m trying to think more long term though. 😓
