What are you punching??
What are you punching??
I don’t have the energy to help, but i will say you’ve provided very little information. If you want help, you’ll likely have to provide more details, such as… How did you set it up- like what steps did you take to get to the point you’re failing? What tunnel are you talking about? “so it shows a lemmy instance” like the main page? Or an admin page so you can finish setting it up, or… I’m probably forgetting something, but hopefully you get the gist of what I’m saying. You’re likely not going to get much help with what you’ve posted so far
I chuckled. Kid is so cool that satan gets flustered. Even chained up the kid is still 😏. I don’t think there’s more to it
Whoops! missed that part 🤦 very good point
What’s she going for?
Whatever she wants because the UAE welcomes wealth and excessive spending, that’s kind of its whole thing (that and human rights violations). The idea that visiting Dubai is precedented by an interest in history is not grounded in reality. If Dubai was concerned about anything other than excess wealth, why do they keep building things like the burj khalifa and an indoor snow ski slope?
Ignore this, I really misunderstood the comment
Nothing good happens there.
This is incredibly dismissive of two entire countries and cultures. I suspect it’s based out of ignorance or preconceived notions rather than any actual experience or knowledge
“Amoral” 🤣 Like Dubai has any business judging morals
Ignore me, the point went “whoosh” over my head
We thought… you was… a toad
What??
We thought… you was… a toad!
SHH!
My account is on an instance that doesn’t implement downvotes, which I wasn’t sure about at first, but have grown to like. For me, it’s either worth an upvote, worth commenting on, or I just move on. It has changed how I engage with Lemmy a bit.
Reminds me of this
“So I went to the fridge and I opened up the meat drawer - you know what the meat drawer is, right?”
Yeah his website doesn’t seem like a good place to get updates, Tapas tends to stay up to date and has his bonus panels, though:
I think calling Wordpress uncool and the boss a dork diminishes the very real issues that people have with the person and company- issues that are NOT about “coolness”
I think Lemmy developers should focus on developing and supporting Lemmy’s core features and not stuff like novelty bots. Lemmy is not a monolithic entity, so the rules regarding implementing such bots would be up to each instance and then each community on the instance. There’s no technical reason I’m aware of that would prevent such a bot from working, just a question as to whether it would be allowed or even welcomed.
But then who is putting everything on the treadmills on the other side?
He got the treadmills because he’s too lazy to go into the kitchen to get the snacks, and I assume the snacks being stored in the fridge and cabinets- otherwise, why not just keep the snacks where he is sitting now? But then how are the snacks getting onto the treadmills from their respective storage?
The National Guard is not monolithic either, as it is per service and per state. I.e. Minnesota Air National Guard, Minnesota Army National Guard, Iowa Air… you get it
It’s nice that you credit who asked the original question, but you could just cross post their original post
Asklemmy’s purpose is a place to ask open-ended questions, “an actual topic of discussion”, as the sidebar puts it, its not really meant to just answer questions that could be researched and answered.
Honestly bring up everything you think may be relevant. Did you use a certain system, software, or equipment, but only once or twice? I think you should still mention it, especially if it’s esoteric. You may be nearly equal to another candidate, but the fact you’ve even seen that thing may put you ahead. I prefaced with “honest” because overselling your actual experience or knowledge rarely ends well.
Mention any self study you’ve done, too, even if it hasn’t resulted in a degree or certification. Folks like to know you have interest in expanding your skills.
Apply for jobs even if the description seems only tenuously connected to what you’re looking for. I’ve seen some awful postings compared to what the actual work was going to be. It’s obnoxious and absurd that there’s such a disconnect, and ends up being extra work, but you may be surprised by what turns up.

This is not a lemmy support community
