Anecdotally I have to disagree, for years I didn’t like or eat bananas, and most of my meal bases start with garlic and onion, but I’m always the first to get attacked by mosquitos.

Ugh along the same lines, eXpresso drives me nuts.

Here is a good explanation of both words, basically play/resume comes from Latin (take up again) and CV/resume should be résumé, the past participle of resumer, to sum up, because you’re takin a summary of your experience.
