I don’t think this article quite gets it, either. The problem with “Autism is a spectrum” isn’t the word ‘spectrum’, but the word ‘a’. People understand what a spectrum and if autism were ‘a’ spectrum, they would be right to say that everyone is on it. However, it’s not ‘a’ spectrum. It’s a collection of spectrums. So an individual falling on the ‘autistic end’ of one of the spectrums doesn’t necessarily make them autistic.

The pole would basically be a space elevator. I suspect gravity and inertia would effectively keep you from moving the stick. Even if you could move it, you’d only be able to move it at a speed that would seem like it’s stationary. As such, the light would still be faster.

So, this suggests that you are using a LOT of water, but not nearly as much as last year. For reference, my wife and I typically use between 1400 and 2000 gallons per month.

Maybe this all comes down to the boss of the other team not being a dick? Life and work are not separate things. A good manager knows this. If your manager is making you work through lunch , not take breaks, not go to the doctor, etc. then you have a manager problem and this has absolutely nothing to do with who does/doesn’t have children.

Many of the classrooms were old Army barracks buildings. The people of the county were notoriously cheap and wouldn’t ever pay for a new school until it literally started dropping chunks of plaster and cement in the classrooms. Yet, the basketball court was one of the best around.
