If only non-animated content could be rendered using something other than HTML/CSS.
I mean, most web content such as news or blogs are static text plus images. We could use a much simpler format with a really low entry point for more competition.
We can use apps for the complicated and dynamic content. I’m really generalizing but it’s out of frustration from how shitty the web has become and how it’s controlled by so few mega corporations.
A guy in a convertible shaving with an electric razor.
Turning right from the left turn lane when the lights turn green, in front of the cars going straight and right.
I guy undertaking on a sidewalk outside a school, over the speed limit.
Surely any kind of wave would sink it? 😬
Either a nice, small house by the ocean or my kid’s university fees.
Years ago, on a highway/motorway in England. A mini passed me at speed, and after I turned the next bend in the road, I found said mini upside down on the side of the road. Its occupants were either sitting down or wandering around confused. Various other cars stopped to help but I don’t recall if any were hurt. I was trying to help the confused wanderer.
Be somewhere you want to be, doing something you want to do.

I get occasional spam messages on LinkedIn from people that paid to spam me. It’s annoying, but not a big deal. I found a new job by keeping track of companies posts on LinkedIn. I tried their free premium option when I was job hunting but it was a waste of time.
I lost 40lbs on keto and after the first week of keto flu, I felt great. No sugar crashes, no energy level drops and overall, more energy than usual. I stopped after six weeks as I couldn’t deal with the lack of flavour and texture in the food I was eating. I reached a good weight that I’ve maintained, 7 years later.
One thing it taught me, was to reduce the amount I eat and to balance things out if I eat more carbs than usual.
I have a very vague memory of watching a video where someone calculated the amount of energy produced, which was minimal. The benefit vs the cost is very poor.
Hurricane Irene in the Caribbean in, what, 2011? Luckily we were tucked up safely in a hotel with a concrete structure but it still scared the crap out of us.
We thought our windows and patio door were going to blow out and we used all the bedding and towels to stop water coming in under the door. It soaked up so much water that we couldn’t lift them in the morning.
Thankfully I think it dropped to a cat 2 (?) as it hit land, so damage wasn’t as bad as expected. Still, our hearts broke when we saw the damage to the island and homes as we returned to the airport a few days later. I don’t know how the locals deal with it every year.
Very odd.
Holy Ravioli!!
I can see how decades of working at Microsoft can turn someone into a goose farmer. I’ve been using their products for decades and some days I never want to see their products again.
Cover your yard in red paint, chunks of meat and feathers? You wanted humour, but was that a bit too grim? Sorry…
Put up a gate and a sign saying “$1 Entrance Fee”. If you want to get even sillier, draw a horizontal line about 7ft off the ground on the sign plus the text “Must be at least this tall to enter”.
I’ve always wondered what the WTF in LLM stands for.
