It’s only a non-justicable political question when Republicans do it. That part is written in invisible ink, which is only visible if you sign your entity’s legal name diagonally across the written decision with a red pen.

Did they say it was the guy? I thought they were saying he was staying with other people at the hostel and this was someone they wanted to talk to, presumably one of the roommates, but idfk
Yeah I heard they always have burnt tongues because they eat all their food before it becomes cool.
Yes, parents obviously still pay an important role. But we regulate many things for people under the age of 18 to generally good effect.
I was talking about Vancouver, TX. What are you on about?
I meant in real countries.
Sorry, I’m originally from the upper Midwest, so I’m required to poke fun at Canada any time the opportunity presents itself.
A focus on appearance and current trends? My brother in Feist, you just described everyone under the age of like 40.
Edit: I guess Wikipedia says “modern hipsters” basically declined/disappeared around 2016-2017, which feels right.
Just because things have been started and the money had already been allocated doesn’t mean if it somehow gets on Trump’s radar that the democrats initiated something that might actually be good for America that’s still going when he’s president that he won’t viciously ruin it.
Honest question, do hipsters still exist? I thought that went out like 5-10 years ago. I don’t really see them anymore.
Hmm. An article quoting Pew: “a majority of white women (53 percent) did vote for Trump in the 2024 presidential election, up from 44 percent in 2020 and 39 percent in 2016 per Pew.”
but I think you’re right, those numbers sound like all women. I’ll edit the post.
Latines now make up 20% of the U.S. population, making them the largest minority group. Among the under-18 demographic, that number climbs to nearly 30%. If current population trends hold, Latines are poised to become the largest ethnic group in the country within about 25 years—that’s just three presidential terms away.
While Latines are a minority ethnicity, they are the largest one and the second-fastest growing, trailing only Asians. Asians, despite having one of the lowest birth rates, experience the highest proportional rate of immigration. Notably, Trump gained 12% of the Asian vote in the most recent election, a trend across these growing demographics that, if sustained, could spell significant gains for Republicans in the future.
However, let’s not overlook the broader electoral picture. Black, Asian, and Latine men and women combined make up about 29% of the voting public in presidential elections, while white women alone account for a staggering 37-38%. For context, Latino men represent just 5-6% of voters. White women are, by far, the largest voting demographic.
Interestingly, Trump increased his share of all women by 7% compared to when he ran against Biden and has increased his support from women each time he’s ran. The devastating thing, I think, is that Trump won 13% more of the 18-29-year-olds, 5% more of 30-44-year-olds, and continues to capture “Boomer Lite,” aka Gen X, a majority of whom he has won each time he’s ran, but he increased his share by 9% this time.
Edit: corrected an earlier data error.
I’ve got good and bad news for you: it’s an edge-lord adult. I get the feeling people would feel vicarious embarrassment for him if they knew what he looks like, how he acts, and what his life is like irl. Perhaps pitying him and moving on is the best emotional response.
I’ve already blocked him, so, as far as I’m concerned, problem solved.
He’s just a moron that plays video games all day, so his frame of reference is a fictional world. He seems to think being obtuse online makes him appear strong and therefore smart. He’s basically a Trump voter that missed a memo along the way.
Sounds like a brilliant plan. “They’re being fascist so we have to be fascist!” has worked so well in history.
You effectively said, “I didn’t do anything to change anyone’s mind, and neither did the party that I support through the bare minimum of voting once every four years, so since the majority of people in this country don’t agree with me, I think I want to play fascism instead of democracy too! Except I’m the good kind of fascist! I just don’t think the majority of voters should get their way, that’s all.”
Hard eye roll on that one.
Dear Can’s Subconscious,
Sorry I haven’t written to you lately. I’ve been so busy, but that’s no excuse. I hope you are well.
I was writing to ask a question: y u no pee? U scare? Y?
Sincerely,
WoahWoah
You can’t beat fascism with fascism. It doesn’t work that way.
The problem is that the democrats are playing the game called “democracy.” The Republicans stopped following the rules of the game because they don’t want to play it anymore. If the Democrats do what the Republicans do, then the game is no longer be played. You can’t really give up on democracy and then bring it back. It rarely ever works that way.
If you cede the ground of democratic norms, rules, and policies just to win, you ultimately lose because you no longer have a democracy. In many respects, getting the Democrats to start doing the same thing is precisely what the Republicans want. Because that means they can finish burying democracy, and they’re better positioned to win the game called “fascism.”
That it could be an incitement to violence is precisely what they will/have argue(d), I would guess.
