All this “we replace junior devs with LLMs” it the equivalent to castrating yourself because you can get testosterone injections, with the same result - lack of competent devs in the future.

I have no formal training except 1 single year of a trade school where i learnt a bit of pascal and c++. But i have been in front of computers since my earliest childhood starting with ataris in the early 80, C64, Amiga 500, and then starting from 286 across every major consumer x86/x64 CPU architecture. All I know except logic and programming basics are self taught, i never worked in the field outside of giving tech support for ISP clients a.k.a help grandma configure her mailaccount or help someone reinstall their modem driver.

my tip: cook a small amount once even if it takes a while; if you are fine with the result, cook a larger amount that you can freeze or store for future meals, reducing your total cooking time far below those 15 minutes. dont just do large amount first - you will profit from having done the receipe before and achieve a better tasting meal the second time.

yep :-) but that small dinky wheel will have trouble powering anything more than a bunch of Leds - there’s not enough momentum in those blades, they would have to be longer, less of them and higher up to use more area where wind is blowing stronger and constantly to provide a solid amount of power.

AI is good for prototyping stuff or creating dirty one-shot application for simple tasks. In this case, you can try to get inspiration on how the logo should generally look like and then you go to a professional with the concepts you like and work something out that is actually showable. People are using this stuff wrong - but i am not surprised anymore after reading the article where they middle/upper management of a business was burning stupid amounts of tokens to convert pdfs to slideshows instead of using a specialized tool for that.

• seamless linux integration nowadays - Proton is a blessing!
• DRM is the decision of the publisher - not required by steam in any way - and the offered standard DRM is so weak that it doesn’t really exist while also respecting you as a costumer (no hardware binding, no limited activations and so on - if a game has that, it’s the publishers bad decision)
• steam workshop is the easiest way to get into modding by far
• autoupdater for all your games (and mods when using workshop)
• integrated overlay offering guides and discussion forums
• steam input is awesome and powerful, while not being overly complicated, and also works on non-steam games (the overlay does too - opening a game wiki in the overlay is pretty handy)
• switching between offered builds/betas takes 3 clicks
• steamworks making multiplayer easy - rightclick your friend and invite into the running game
• discovery queue is a pretty good feature - i tend to run one or two every month just to keep up on whats new and up my alley
• creates a news and patchnotes stream out of your library and store follows, making sure you always are informed even if a game isn’t currently installed, for example when you are waiting for some specific feature / content in a game
• easy managing of your installed games with a good overview of used space and when you last used that 80GB behemoth of a game
• Steam inhome streaming is pretty good and readily available, and also enables mixed remote/local couch gaming; i prefer moonlight/sunshine, but it’s deffo more involved than clicking on the “Stream” button.
• Family sharing makes my library availabe to 5 other people free of charge

Don’t get me wrong, i am someone who collects game repacks in large volumes, so i am completely fine with piracy as it is. but i also want to give game devs that have created something special financial security so they can continue doing their thing. That means games that i actually want to continue playing after testing them out sooner or later land in my library, at a price point that i a) can afford, since i am a small time pensioner and b) that i perceive as fair for the product in comparison to how much joy the game brought me. My wishlist is primarily a “reminder to buy because they deserve it” list. In some cases this can even result in paying the full new release price (Baldurs Gate 3 e.g, and CP2077 - this has more to do with my fandom towards the pen&paper RPG tho, and i am happy that the game has evolved to something where i can say i am proud i paid full price)

not uncommon -> common, also equivalent to “often” when using less formal speech. My cat does this at least once every 2 days (since i moved out and took my 2 kitties with me from our herd of 4 i am happy to report that the frequency has dropped - he did this A LOT to the other cats, because he is a needy one and very jealous when he sees other cats getting attention)

I can compound this study with the behaviour of my cats, where one of them often uses “grooming” as an obviously hostile action when the other one is on a spot he wants or if the other cat has my attention to make her leave.

So translating this into ARPG nomenclature: Ampere is base damage, and voltage is armor penetration, and your body resistance is armor. Low ampere above a certain threshold can still kill you if the voltage gets high enough, but high amperage can brute force its way with a help from a little bit of voltage. Did I get that right?
